Floyd was a middle aged man who was the boss of a local branch of a major company. He was the one responsible for making sure everything in the area ran smoothly. Although he did not want to admit it, the ever increasing pressure was becoming too much for him to handle. If he did not find some sort of outlet, the pressure would most likely grow to dangerous levels.

Unknown to him, his secretary had been deliberately causing problems for him. When she was him trying to come up with new ways to deal with his stress, she knew her plan was working. She did not want to hurt him. She just wanted his job so a chance to help him out was just an added bonus.

"It might help for you to join a club of some sort," she suggested. "When I was younger, I was a member of Little Ladies of Business. We did things like make colorful ornaments and necklaces out of flowers. Then we tried to sell them. It was quite an experience."

"I don't have any time for activities like that," protested Floyd. "That's the problem!"

His secretary could see he was interested. She grabbed some flowers from a nearby vase and held them up to his nose.

"Sure you do," she insisted. "After school, all you do is sit around all day. You will never get anywhere with an attitude like that and you will not enjoy what you do."

As Floyd smelled the sweet scent of the flowers, he imagined what it would be like to join the Little Ladies of Business. Being successful was important but it was even more important to simply enjoy life. He felt himself becoming younger and somehow lighter.

"I don't think I could join a group like Little Ladies of Business," said Floyd.

"Certainly you can, Flora," she explained. "They are not looking for experienced people. They give experience. Before I joined them, I knew next to nothing about business. Now look at me! They taught me everything I know."

Flora felt younger and more girly. Perhaps it was the thought of making necklaces out of flowers that made her feel that way. She too knew next to nothing about business but she knew how to make things. Perhaps there were people out there who actually wanted what she had to offer.

"Alright, I'll join the Little Ladies of Business!" smiled Flora. "What would you like me to call you?"

Her former secretary looked at Flora. The changes were almost complete. Just looking at her, even without the physical changes, it was hard to tell that Floyd had ever been there.

"Just call me 'Mommy' like you usually do," Flora's adoptive mother replied. "After all, mother knows best."
