Description

What is the difference between virtual reality and actual reality?  It is getting more and more difficult to tell.

Words Below:

Skyler was a transgendered teenager.  Only a few people knew he was transgendered.  One of them was his aunt.  When he was little, every time he went over to her house he would try on her clothes.  She remembered this when most people did not.  Even though he had gotten better at hiding it, she knew his desires had not changed.

When Skyler came over to her house, he showed interest in her virtual combat game.  She let him use her character which he enjoyed very much.  The next time she came over to visit, she gave Skyler his own copy of the game.  She even helped him create his character.

He picked a female human warrior with brown hair, brown eyes, and brown skin.  His aunt helped him get started but she knew he would not want her around when he really got into things.  He thanked his aunt for her gift and set out into the virtual world in search of a guild to join.

Eventually he found an LGBT+ themed guild who would not ask too many questions about the person behind the character.  Several people of both sexes showed an interest in his character but he was not ready for anything like that yet.  He just wanted the chance to interact with others as a girl.

Although he was constantly tweaking his look, he kept the basic traits the same.  He wanted to set a standard for the virtual image he had created.  Skyler loved the sensations of his virtual body.  It was enough to keep him playing for hours.

Outside the guild no one questioned his gender.  He did not resemble any of the stereotypes of males playing female characters.  Sometimes he would go with a group of all guys who needed a tank.  When he talked about having "girl duty" they did not understand the joke.  That was fine with him.
