Words Below:

Warren was an astronaut in deep space orbit.  He had unknowingly brought a virus from the surface into deep space with him.  It was nothing serious, just one of the many different viruses responsible for the common cold.

However, while in deep space Warren and the virus inside him got hit with a massive dose of radiation.  This created a temporal anomaly sending him back through time inside his own body.  The time of his highest fever happened while Warren was in elementary school.  Seeking as much heat as possible, the virus transported him to the exact moment in time when his body temperature was at its highest.

Multidimensional forces were also at work transporting his consciousness into a body and mind previously unknown to him.  The young boy named Warren became a young girl named Wren.  This was something he, or she, had no control over.  Soon she only remembered being Wren.

Wren had a fever so high that she was hallucinating.  She imagined herself falling through the floor in slow motion.  Every time she passed through the floor, another floor was waiting for her.  It was like she was falling from deep space, where gravity was low, all the way down to Earth.

Fortunately, her antibodies had been hit with the same massive dose of radiation.  This allowed them to gradually destroy the temporal virus the same way normal antibodies would with a normal virus.  The point of highest fever had not lasted last time, neither would it this time.  A few days later, Wren could return to normal activities, at least what was normal for Wren.

Even her memory returned.  Wren recalled being an adult male astronaut named Warren travelling in deep space.  However, to an elementary school girl like Wren these memories did not fit in with her reality.  Perhaps she would start believing in past lives, or future lives.
