Zenon was a teenage boy in the year 2099. He went with his friends on a trip to the local pool. It was there that he encountered something really unusual. While swimming laps, he decided to dive all the way to the bottom of the pool. The water was much deeper than he thought it would be, more like 20 feet than 10 feet.

When Zenon resurfaced, she was a girl. All of her friends treated her like she had been a girl her entire life. Zenon could not understand what had happened or why it affected only her. She knew it had something to do with that dive she had just made.

After getting a chance to rest and talk to everybody, she dove towards the mysterious portal again. It took her several tries but she was eventually able to do it.

He was a boy once again and everyone treated him as if his time as a girl never happened. The only explanation he could think of was that there was an underwater portal at the bottom corner of the pool that led to an alternate universe where he had always been a girl.

Although Zenon could barely even comprehend such a thing, he knew he had an important decision to make. His friends were getting ready to leave so he only had a few minutes left in the water.

He already knew what his life as a boy was like so he figured it would be better to be a girl. He dove into the portal once more. This time he had a better idea of where the portal was so he got it on the first try.

Zenon emerged as a girl once more. She left the pool with her friends. If things did not go as well as she thought they would, she could always look for the poral next time she went to the pool. For her, things actually went better than expected. Zenon never even tried to find the portal again though she did wonder if anything happened to anyone else.
