Space is filled with mysterious events. The odds of some of them happening are over 1 in a million. Some of these events are so rare that they are astronomical. Rarer still are those events that have happened only once in the entire history of the universe.

One of those extraordinarily rare events was encountered by an astronaut named Kenny. Whether it was a once in a universe event or planned by some form of higher intelligence he did not know, but he could not deny the results.

Kenny was on a space shuttle orbiting above Earth's atmosphere. He was doing a routine space walk when he was hit by cosmic rays never detected by human beings. The people on Earth were protected by the atmosphere. The people on the shuttle were protected by the outside of the ship. Kenny's spacesuit, however, proved to be inadequate.

The first thing he noticed was his spacesuit was dissolving. This should have killed him, yet it did not. He became detached from the space shuttle and floated into the depths of space. Kenny had no doubt they would presume him dead.

As he entered some sort of portal created by the cosmic rays, his body started changing. He had become a light haired, fair skinned female dressed entirely in white. She, as she was now, carried a clear umbrella and had no difficulty walking in high heels among the dust and gas of the cosmos.

Kim, as she now called herself, had no doubt these images were created by her mind. What she did not know was whether this was all a dream or if her mind was actually shaping reality. She hoped it was the latter because she seemed really powerful. Unless she woke up which would prove it was the former, she had a feeling she would never know.
