Uriah went into his favorite bar next to the furry bar. Hard times had come to him and kept accumulating. With financial, family and romantic problems at the same time, he saw nothing better to do than to consume alcohol in the hopes of numbing his problems. He kept telling them to put it on his tab not realizing this would lead to yet another problem.

When Uriah tried to order yet another drink, he discovered that his tab had reached its limit. He tried to use his credit card but it had also reached its limit. Then he tried to use his debit card but did not have enough money left in it. In desperation, he opened his wallet and found only a few dollars and some coins. He was in debt and not sober enough to do anything about it.

The owner of the bar did not see this as a problem. He gave Uriah the special.

"Not a problem, you can work off your tab," he explained. "Just drink this and it will transform you. Once the tab is paid, I will give you what you need to transform back."

"Am I going to become a bunny girl or something?" slurred Uriah who heard stories about stuff like that happening.

"We prefer to call them rabbit girls," answered the owner. "It is for the furry bar next door. I will give you a place to spend the night. Report for work at noon tomorrow morning."

Seeing no other way out of his debt, Uriah agreed to drink what they had given him. Whatever it was, it made him sleepy. The staff took him up to the spare room. Less than a minute after that, he was sound asleep.

During the night, Uriah transformed. Ears grew out of the top of his head. His body hair changed into white fur. The hair on his head grew slightly stopping just above his shoulders. His nose and mouth became more like those of a rabbit than those of a human.

When she awoke the next morning, she found a name tag with the name Uma beside her along with a note reminding her she needed to report for work at noon. Breakfast had been provided for her. They knew she was not going anywhere until she paid off her tab.

Uma, mostly sober by this point, reported on time to the furry bar next door to work her shift. Although not the best job she ever had it was surprisingly not the worst job she ever had either. When her shift was over, she had enough money to pay off her tab and even had some left over. The owner got ready to give her the drink to change her back but Uma stopped him.

"This is not easy to say," Uma stammered. "but besides my tab I have also accumulated a massive credit card debt. I need to do this a while longer."

The owner agreed, surprised that anyone would choose to remain a rabbit girl. Uma continued to work at the fury bar and slowly paid off her credit card debt one paycheck at a time. After a few months, it had been paid in full. Then there was the problem of finding a job. She would have to keep working until she found a job elsewhere.

By this time the owner suspected that Uma actually liked working as a rabbit girl. She just did not want to tell anybody. That was fine. As long as she continued to work hard, he would continue to provide a job for her.
