Kumandra was desperately in need of dragons. However, no dragons had been seen for at least five hundred years. Sam knew this better than most. He had spent his life learning everything he could about dragons, both what was historic fact and what was merely legend.

One of those legends talked about a dragon gem that could be used to bring back the dragons. It was supposedly hidden in a cave not too far away from where he lived. Sam tried to gather a group together to search for the gem, but the others thought it was a waste of time. He would have to go looking for it by himself.

Sam spent many days exploring the entire cave. It seemed like he would never find it but something inside him kept pushing him forward. The dragon gem was their only hope of freedom. Just when he was about to give up, he noticed a strange glow coming from an object nearby. It was the dragon gem!

As Sam eagerly picked it up and held it up in front of him, he became aware of a legend even he did not know about. The glow from the gem surrounded him and transformed him into a dragon. No one told him, or her, that she would actually become the dragon.

Quickly she flew over to a nearby river and looked at her own reflection. From all the research Sam had done, she recognized this dragon as Sisu which would become her new name. Sisu tried to change back to his old human form, but the best she could manage was a woman with light blue hair.

Sisu would just have to accept this as the way things were. She had bigger concerns on her mind. There were other dragons that needed to be found. Then they would have to work with the humans and each other to free Kumandra.
