Joey was nearly sixteen years old. He wanted to have a sweet sixteen party but he was a boy and those kinds of parties were usually reserved for girls. Due to peer pressure from his friends he was going to give up on the idea.

However, one of his friends had magical powers. When Joey got up on the morning of his actual birthday, the desk in his own room had a paper plate with a slice of cake on it. On one side of the plate was a fork and napkin. On the other side of the plate was a note which said, "After you take your first bite, make a wish and your wish shall be granted."

Joey did not believe his wish would actually be granted, but it was his birthday so he decided to play along. He took a bite out of the cake and wish to have a sweet sixteen party. Since his parents and friends thought sweet sixteen parties were for girls, Joey became one.

The transformation was instantaneous. Joey looked at her reflection in the mirror. She could not believe her eyes. She found herself in a fancy pink, black, and white outfit ready for her party to begin. Her parents and friends who came to the party thought she had always been a girl.

Although Joey had no experience being a girl, she instinctively knew exactly what to do. She walked, talked, and acted as if she had been born that way. She danced, sang, and posed for the camera as if she had experience with such things.

Some of her presents were gender neutral. Other were things like jewelry. They were the type of gifts one expected a sixteen year old girl to receive. If Joey got a chance to make another wish, she knew exactly what she would wish for.
