As Hugh laughed, his voice became higher in pitch. It was too gradual for him to notice but Rose, Lucy, and Yuri did.

"It is you who will have to submit to the will of the sorority," taunted Rose even though she was still on her knees. "Did you really think the sorority would have lasted as long as it has if I kept all the power for myself? There are some rules here even I have to obey and you have broken quite a few of them."

"Silence!" ordered Hugh. "It does not matter to me whether or not I have broken your old rules because I am going to change them."

By this time Hugh noticed his voice had become higher in pitch. He knew what was happening to him. Rose once again rose to her feet.

"How is this possible?" he gasped. "I made sure you could not use the book against me."

"Rose may be the president, but she is not the one with the book," explained Lucy. "She gave it to me. As far as you know, I might have given it to someone else who in turn gave it back to me."

"You may be more powerful than any of us, but you are not more powerful than all of us," declared Rose. "The vote you tried so hard to stop did indeed take place. You have been rejected by the sorority! Normally I would just leave you to make the best of your circumstances once you have been transformed, but you are far too dangerous. Even if you lose your memory, you still have your powers. We can not risk the additional damage you might do."

While she was talking, other changes became visible. His height decreased considerably. Body hair disappeared. His face became more feminine. Breasts grew on him as his body became more slender and curved.

His black trousers turned white as the legs separated and merged again to form a dress. His hair grew until it reached his waist. Feminine accessories covered his hair and body. Then his genitals changed, leaving him, or her, fully female. The name Hazel popped into her mind. With effort she could still recall being Hugh but the name Hazel felt like it was naturally hers.

"If you return me to our people, you will be punished too," sneered the still defiant Hazel.

"You're right," sighed Rose. "Also killing is one of those rules everyone has to obey, not that I would do that anyway. Slowing my movements like you did has given me an idea. I can place you in suspended animation and create a room just for you. It will be an otherwise empty closet where no one ever goes."

"What did I ever do to you?" cried Hazel.

"It seems your ability to resist was not as strong as you thought," Rose remarked. "Still I am not taking any chances."

Rose slowed Hazel's movement so much that she appeared to be standing still. Then she created a closet, placed her inside, locked the door, and placed the closet in a forgotten corner of the basement.

"Guests rarely go into the basement so it should be awhile before she escapes," considered Lucy.

Yuri declared, "Someone would have to find the key, go to the basement, and unlock the door. Then Hazel would have to remember what happened or at least remember she has a score to settle with us."

"As an additional precaution, we will warn people not to open the door," added Rose. "Her escape will be inevitable and if she ever manages to defeat me, the two of you will be next on her list."

"We will not let that happen," Lucy assured her.

"So much has happened so fast," said Yuri. "I never would have imagined college would be like this."

Rose and Lucy just nodded their heads in agreement.
