Words Below:

Agent Chloe White had just finished her final scene for Season 1 of Whatever It Takes.  Only a few more edits had to be made and then the show was over.  It surprised absolutely no one when the people in charge decided not to renew the show.  Much of it was due to internal conflict between the Junebug Talent Agency and the Agents of Freedom.  Both of them wanted the show to go in completely different directions so neither of them ended up getting their way.

Considering production was coming to an end, things were surprisingly quiet on the set.  Chloe suspected something else was going on.  She went to the editing room and found Tammy, one of the camera operators, looking over the final episode.  It looked like she had been crying.

"What's wrong?" asked Chloe.

"I want out of the Junebug Talent Agency!" declared Tammy.

This was the opportunity both of them wanted.  Tammy had someone sympathetic and willing to listen to what she had to say and Chloe had the chance to discover if long term clients of the Junebug Talent Agency could get their memories back.  Chloe was worried about the memory wipe that always happened when they rescued a long term client but after talking to Tammy she realized that most of her memories had been wiped anyway.

Chloe introduced Tammy to Kelly Green and Rick Violet, both of whom worked for the Agents of Freedom.  They understood hypnosis better than Chloe did and would give Tammy the best chance of restoring her memory.  They took her to the Headquarters of the Agents of Freedom.

The first defense mechanism was depression.  Although they could not stop it completely, they were able to reduce it enough for her not to desire to return.  Next came the memory wipe.  The Agents of Freedom did their best to reminder her of her past but they did not know who she was before joining the Junebug Talent Agency so the knowledge they could give her was limited.  Even so, it was vital to do this early before things were further forgotten.

Chloe engaged her in casual conversation about Whatever It Takes and the things they had done while working on the show.  They did not know each other really well but they had at least interacted which gave them something in common.  Her memory was fading even while they were talking.  All she could remember was her time with the Junebug Talent Agency which were bad memories that she did not want to remember.

Due to her experience, Chloe understood this better than most.  She tried to convince Tammy that her memories were important even if they were painful.  This worked for a short time but her depression was too strong.  About an hour later, her memory had been completely wiped.

Their attempts to stop the mindwipe had failed but it was not a complete loss.  They had gotten to observe the mindwipe more closely than ever before and learned much about how the process worked.  Kelly and Rick told Chloe they thought they could still get Tammy's memories back, even those she had before joining the Junebug Talent Agency, but the process would take time.
