Yes they are, I can get within about ten feet of the ones here. They have watched me chase the cats away so much, I think they are sure I am their body guard.

I put up an imitation tree. I made it out of a long piece of 2 inch PVC pipe, for the trunk. That way the cats can't climb it. I put it over an old fence "T" pole, and put a few branches in the top with a pie tin screwed in it to hold seeds. So when birds land above the seed tray, you can get very natural looking photos.
