Description Because I do, and really don't understand why people are complaining so much, HTML is easy once you know the basics. Dreamwave, worked with it, notepad is much easier!

If you agree with me, reply!

and feel free to use.

notepad rules. I know people who work with dreamweaver and the like, get stuck on something 'difficult' and can't find a way to make it work. Then I pick up notepad and show them the true powerrrr.
Seriously, manual editing gives you ultimate control and less limits. I use it for all my game programming too, until the files get too large. Then notepad can't handle it and I have to switch to wordpad.

Thanks for making this stamp.

I agree. HTML is too simple once you get to know it. Notepad is all i use for all of my HTML and CSS coding.

Oh yes. And yet people think you have to get an account at some place that lets you drag the images around and stuff. HTML is way cooler. And notepad rocks.

I thought I was being too old tech by using note pad, but I can't stand using those other programs that feel so pre-made.

I like being able to control every aspect.

I will use this.

^_^ nothing old tech, but very 1337! you know all codes yourself, no program chewing them up for you ;D

Aside from the pagebuilders such as Homestead and GeoCities I used when I was beginning to learn, I now only use Notepad for xHTML, CSS and any PHP coding.
Using Dreamweaver would probably just confuse me, just like the WYSIWYG editor I once downloaded. o.O

I now have frontpage for php, just because notepad screws up the 'layout', but yea, css and html are best in notepad ^^

Ah, I love Notepad! Dreamweaver, I tried a trial, used it once and never touched it again XP

leotheyardiechick [2007-05-24 02:49:23 +0000 UTC]

Same here. I tried using Dreamweaver and...ugh! There's nothing like coding it yourself, and there isn't any clunky code left in by a program when you're all finished.

I used notepad++ and never wanted to use dreamweaver... but.. I do use dreamweaver now.. it's probably bcause I'm lazy... and I write xhtml.. but I'm used to write html.. so if I want to end an image tag.. I press > and he does /> ver nice

I do like notepad++ it's only that I'm lazy.. like every programmer

memod [2007-04-09 22:19:27 +0000 UTC]

haha, that's so true I mean, okay, I don't use notepad (anymore), because I do like to have syntax highlighting and real tabs, but a freeware editor does that for me, really. dreamweaver I find way too complex for something as basic as html/css. it's overrated, really.

so you can code something like DA with notepad?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ConDecepticon In reply to Kuwaizair [2007-03-28 13:54:24 +0000 UTC]

I can copy the layout of DA using notepad, but not the scripts and stuff which make you able to do stuff, I'm not that advanced. but I think it IS posable to do those with just notepad
