Description
the bridge in the magic forest, watercolor and white acryl paint on paper, 30x30 cm, may 2014It is almost a year since I painted this with oils, so I wanted to try it in watercolors.
I think I need to practice more landscapes.

I saw your original painting in oils, its gorgeous!
I think this is lovely, I really like the lighting. I do wonder whether you've treated your water-colours a bit too much like oils though? You seem to have been quite heavy handed at times-one of the joys of water-colours is how light and delicate they are. Perhaps try layering more transparent washes, and using a finer brush in places, especially for the darker ares on the bricks making up the bridge.
But this is really lovely, and has a wonderful atmosphere to it

Thank you for your nice comment!
I think you are right , I could have done some things better, I may have rushed the painting a bit too much.
But considering it is my first watercolor landscape in ages it turned out quite well!

Considering its your first watercolour in ages it turned out very well! They can be quite temperamental, so you've done a great job!

I don't know much about painting, but I have to say that this is very pretty. The color selection contributes to the light and peaceful mood, and it really does look magical. The light reflection on the water looks especially eye-catching. I love this painting c:

I like the looseness of it - it feels peaceful and relaxed. And the colors are wonderful.
