Thanks, it works perfectly with the elementary theme.
I was just wondering how did you make the chrome title/tab bar transparent...is that in gnome? did you use some extensions or theme?

Awesome work! I'd been using your extension for a while, but Dan has changed his theme to include smaller scrollbars. I've also fixed the spacing to match the GTK theme. Mine also has horizontal scrollbars working (unlike some other version I've seen).
Here you go! [link]

Oh... looks like that [link] is no good or it is an older version..... Want me to upload this one to the chrome extension gallery for you?

I figured out what's wrong! [link] is actually a modified version of this so uh.... no horizontal scrollbars for that one... Don't worry I will upload this version untouched to the Chrome Extension Gallery in you want me to... I am a registered developer (even though I am 13)

They should work :-/... I had to saccraffice the spacing on the right of the scrollbar to get it to work... If its not showing up then I dunno only that its different chrome and webkit versions we have.

Hmm, this didn't work for me. I'm using Chromium.. It installed fine but it didn't change the scrollbars. I even restarted Chromium. Are there any common problems?

Oh loads !! it's done in CSS so there are bound to be problems with the darn thing ... However on most versions it works most of the time .. A guy submitted a slightly modified version too to the chrome extensions site based on this with better border spacing .. However this seemed to break horizontal scrollbars in my version if chrome when I tried it . The only real fix is for chrome to natively support scrollbars themes .... I think ... This is just a touch and go solution to be honest

How did you get the full transparancy working on both chrome and your panel?
Also, what icons are those?

Faenza-Curpertino = icons. Comments below reveal transparency is just a chrome theme + matching background + similar panel

Just wanted to say as chrome is my number one browser in Linux this is a big 'THANK YOU' from me to you. I am familiar with Nautilus Elementary but not that gorgeous little theme above ^ with the transparency and all. I was hoping that you could direct me to the nearest WHATEVER I HAVE TO DO TO GET IT so I could have another reason to apply this crx! lol... please and thanks.

Its elementary slightly modded, the transparency only works on 1440x900 with the same background as it is a hack not true rgba... which can be achieved but the whole chrome window gets scrambled and buggy, Its a customized panel that I made and there is a link in the comments as for the icons they are Faenza cupertino

Oh Got It, Thank You.. I got the panel working how you said. I guess I was lucky that my resolution was already 1440x900

I think that for the transparent panel, he edited the Apps/panel.rc in the theme folder commenting the "bg_pixmap[NORMAL]" line
BTW chrome/ium theme seems to be awesome, where did you find it?

lol
BTW, (for chrome, i mean) I tried to install this

and this

and I have also enabled the RGBA property in the gtkrc file, but it still doens't work... I think I have to do some 'hack' to enable the rgba trasparency

yeah, unfortunately chrome is wrote weird in comparison to most gtk apps (deliberately for a distinct look!)... I had proper transparency one time but it broke chrome the whole time once you enabled it in chrome parts would be transparent and flicker on and off and looked more ugly than anything. I doubt much has changed since then... from what I remember rgba was a pain in the neck in nautilus, pidgin, firefox and chrome as apps had to have the rgba code called I think. this is not true transparency just a matching theme for chrome and the panel... I may upload it when its more suited for different resolutions, but it really is not what it seems. eg change the wallpaper and chrome would not update itself to match it.. its just some eye trickery though it is functional and not a gimped mock-up.
As rgba gets more popular though more apps will support it though! not to worry ... this is just to fix my itch in the mean time!

Please share the transparent theme and explain how you made chrome transparent as well, thanks much for your time.

Its not *transparent* It is cleverly themed... I may make a script to blend the panel and chrome, which will work well in full screen mode on various resolutions... but they will be wallpaper specific.. people expecting proper transparency will be be disappointed, this is just eye trickery, although a functional one and not gimped.

panel bg I upload here! : [link]
so as to not spam up my Da.
as for the chrome *transparency* is only a hack, but works well maximized... I may make a script for it, but different resolutions could be a pain in the neck!
