This image is basically what I'm calling the "cover art" for the series of images I've been putting out relating to the dystopian future setting. I'm not totally sure it fits the bill of cyberpunk, but it certainly has that vibe going on so we'll roll with it. I Pledge Allegiance - 2109 will follow the story of Aiana, the woman pictured in the precarious situation above. While she is only a single soul, she has proven to be a major issue for the Allegiance, the ruling party of an alternate Earth set in the not too distant future. They are ruthless, having turned the globe into an unforgiving police state that's split into multiple regions, and they'll have no problem stomping out anything that would challenge their power. Having grown up in the Voxel North, Aiana is acutely aware of the risks involved in joining the Syndicate, a small rebel group that seeks to defeat the Allegiance and bring power back to the people. Regardless of the danger, she has had enough of the Allegiance's way of running the show, and so she intends to fight back no matter what it takes. The rebel cause is heavily outgunned and outnumbered, but their willpower has gotten them this far; only time will tell how much further they'll go. Stay tuned for more character reveals, and with any luck, a full-fledged story line.

Just as a bit of fun, if this were a main menu screen in a video game, this is the theme I imagine would be playing in the background: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDq6tu… I think it nicely captures the relatively hopeless situation the rebel cause finds itself in. Even in it's haunting theme, however, you can faintly hear calmness.
