Description
Rules to Adopt
1. Must create one full picture of desired equine(s).
2. Must have design credited to me EVERY time you draw them up, not just the one for trying out.
3. Must fill out stats. In the case of some equines, I already have a story to go with the, so you will only need to fill out some of the stats, not all. No leaving blanks or half hearted answers.
4. Since there is the possibility that I will be return to HARPG in a few months in the future, I would like to be able to lease the equine at least once, so that I can have an opportunity to build up my Stable once I return. To be sure you read the rules, you will send me a note titled Word and the note will contain that single word. RedARoo. If you do not send me a note, I will not accept your tryout.
5. Tryouts are to be posted HERE, notes sent to me. DO NOT send me your tryout in your note. Again you will be ignored.
NEW OWNER: *BrindleTail
Name: See No Evil
Age: 6
Breed: Egyptian Arabian
History: Born almost an entire month too early, Evie was a miracle on her own just by surviving. Bred from champion Arab bloodlines, she was beautifully delicate, and so it was no surprise that her eyes were too underdeveloped to withstand sunlight. So for her first month she was kept indoors for protection
Until that is, the stable boy forgot to lock the stall. Tired of being locked up for so long, Evie's dam trotted out into the courtyard, leaving the poor filly to follow unknowingly into the sun. Frightened by the sudden brightness, Evie panicked and bolted, running blindly about before crashing into the merciless arena plow. It took two hours and four men to untangle Evie from the tines. In the end, her burned eyes had to be covered, and deep lacerations in her flank and legs that wouldn't heal as well. She grew up a mangled beauty, her eyes never able to heal.
Personality: Reclusive, Evie only converses if absolutely necsessary, and even then her remarks are somehow blunt and shrewd in her soft spoken voice. She appears to have exreme self-esteem, but truthfully she is very insecure of herself. She hates taking any sort of charity and will fall before showing weakness.

FullName: Little Heart's Key; Second Chance [side name]; Nothing but Black [side name]
Nickname: Key
Age: Uknown, though appears to be a young filly
Breed: ArabianXThoroughbredXOtherworldly
History: Key was named after her mother, Fantasia's Lock ironically. She was a gentle girl, loving, and affectionate. At a young age, Key took to racing like a pro. She loved speed, and took it quite seriously, though she never hesitated to have a little fun in-between. As she approached around the appropriate age to actually be entered in races, her owners took great pride in her lean structure and long legs, even though she did contain a little bit of a slightly dished face from her father's side, that they set her up to be bred with a champion Thoroughbred within days after her first race.
Key had the body of a winning race horse, with that cute white star on her forehead, and black coat, she was the 'favorite' of the race, and got the most bets to win. Key pranced about as the jockey approached her. She kicked out and reared in anticipation, and the crowd watching clapped wildy, loving her for her energy. Th race started out great aswell, and Key burst out into 1st as soon as the gates opened. Though she made a tragic mistake, putting all the weight onto the inside, making her turns sharper, but balance was failing. And as soon as another horse raced past her only meters from the finish line, the other jockey whipped her from behind, causing her to slow down suddenly and flail. She reared in abrupt fear, and as the other horses came nearer, they didn't stear off track, in fear of losing their places in the race. They bumped and hit her hard, making her fall, hard. Key wailed in pain, but got to her hooves as fast as she could and raced up to them, now in last, she did the best she could to get up in front before it was to late. They soon all reached the homestretch, and Key veered around the others, passing them with ease. She knew she couldn't win first, as far away as he was, so her jockey was content with second. Only, Key wasn't. She pushed, stretching her muscles to the limit as she neared him. But only a rookie, she made another, more tragic mistake. She ignored her jockey's signs as they neared the horse in first, and her hoof clipped the gelding's in front of her. The gelding fell, and since he was right in front of her, she fell too. Both horses flailed as they front flipped forward and landed hard in the turf ground. The other horses merely veered around them and suffered nothing but tripping a few times if they cut to close. Unfortunately, gelding, called Cartwheel, died right there on racetrack, having suffered from broken his front right canon bone, and one of his back legs, and fractured something in his spine. They knew he would never recover, so they put him down, a winning, champion racehorse. While Key's injuries were much less severe, she did also brake bones on her back legs, some fractures, some completely broken. She injured her hip badly too, as she plunged through the air and fell hard on her side onto the turf. The impact was so hard, that when both horses were flailing in pain, Cartwheel had hit her with his hoof on the head. The pain was unbearable and she yelped and wailed in immense pain. She cried out to her jockey, but he was now in critical condition, and was already pulled away along with the other jockey in an ambulance. She wailed again in sorrow, for her vision started to blurr badly as she twisted around and tried to get an idea of what had happened. But in the end, all hopes of her sight vanished as it when from a complete blurred, to nothing but black...
She was transported into a special care facility, where they bandaged all of her injuries. Including her eyes. Key was devastated, and did nothing but lay down in her stall, thinking. People who came by, winced at the sight of the filly, mangled and forsaken. Some kids just stared, and some went as far as throwing small sticks at her.
Key barely moved, barely ate. Her spirit was broken, and she only moved someplace when someone led her. Volunteers at the center nicknamed her Second Chance, because the original owner never showed but once, and he refused to take her back because of what happened. Key never really responded to the name, so one day when a man and a woman were coming by to look to rescue a horse, they liked her. It was her first chance at getting a new home since her accident 6 months before. They petted her, and decided they might take her, so they got a trailer and tried to lead her into it, only the loud bangs from the trailer frightened Key and she reared wildly, afraid. The owners called out to her, "Chance! Settle down!" and "Come'on, Chance!" She refused to move, and even went so far as to kick the man on accident in her mad tantrum. The man got so angry, he picked up his leading rope and smacked her in the neck with it. Then again in her face. She cried, the bandages filling red with blood. Still flailing and rearing in pain, the man cursed under his breath, "Damn you, horse! You're nothing but black in the soul!" She barely understood his speech, but now, she was sent back to her stall. Where any source of human who stepped near her stall, she lunged forward, neighing, and snapping out angerily. From then on, she was known as Nothing but Black in the center, and the meanest, most viciously known mare in the whole place.
Never again did she race, at least, not without another horse in front of her with a lead rope to guide her...
Personality: She is a sweet, gentle, and loving filly, always affectionate, but ever since her accident, she has been nothing but mean, and bitter.
Why I should choose you for this equine: Because I will give her a great home! And continue her 'story' as above, in a little story thing I'm writing over the summer, which includes my wolf characters...<3 And I absolutely adore this girl! And I would be honored if you let me adopt her. :3
Did you send me a note with the one word only? Yes, I believe I did. =3

Why I should choose you for this equine: I have a huge soft spot for flawed characters, and I only adopt if I have a special place for that character. I LOVE this mare, and I thought she needed her own pic, because no lineart would do her justice.

Name: Sillis (Gaelic for blind)
Age: 10
Breed: Morab
History: Cast out of the she was born to because of her gift of foresight, Sillis wandered the land in shame. During Arawn's over throwing of Ahern, she was one of the few who managed to escape with the horse lord, but became separated. She was soon found by a pair of humans, who took her in. Sillis trusted them at first, but soon her visions began to show disturbing images. She saw her new master beating her senseless daily, for no reason. As the vision continued, they got worse and she began to truly fear the man.
One day as he was preparing to break her for riding, she involuntarily flinched at his touch, remembering its harshness in her dreams. This caused the man to loose patience as she continued to jump. In response to her reactions to him, the man began beating her. She tried to flee by going over a fence. In her panic, she under-estimated the height, and went through instead of over, causing injury to herself.
Broken hearted, but free she continued away from the human lands. Now she was unsure what to believe. The man had seemed so nice at first, taking her in like he had. But her visions had been true. Just like they had been before the attack.
She began roaming the land, a vision of many horses gathered repeating in her mind. Soon she caught the scent of them, some more mystical like herself. Cautiously, she ventured forth, walking into the practice field of Ahern's soldiers. Startled at the sight of some many stallions, Sillis about bolted, afraid she had come upon a human's herd. But she stayed, even as a large paint came closer to her.
"Welcome, friend. I'm and Einion, son of Ahern." he had greeted.
Upon hearing the names she broke out in tears, rejoicing to have found her lord again. After reuniting with the celestial stallion and his mate, Sillis told of her gift, and the fear she held for it. Ahern tried his best to reassure her, but her fear was deep.
By now her injuries had healed, leaving ugly scars. Ashamed of them and her gift, she asked that all be bound in bandaging, so that she made hide them. Reluctantly, her wishes were granted, and magically enchanted bandages were placed upon legs and over her eyes.
During the war, Sillis plays a large part in helping Ahern and Einion develop strategy for fighting. After the war, for her aid, she is allowed to live wherever she likes. Having grown close to the dark mare Dallneese by this time, she choose to remain with the gypsy led by the younger mare and her cohort Forty.
Personality: Fearful, but trusting as long as she can see the true you in her visions
Why I should choose you for this equine: Because I already have an awesome place for her in my story, one that will gain her respect and glory, and where she will be able to live out her life peacefully and happily however she wishes.

Name: Saint Aelphaba (L-Fuh-Buh)
Age: Adult- Breeding age; 3 years
Breed: Arabian
History: Aelphaba was born with eyes blacker than midnight. It frightened her care-takers, as well as her parents. As soon as she was old enough, she was shipped off to America, and began her life as a tease-mare. However, her eyes seemed to make stallions uneasy, so the stables that owned her tied bandages around her eyes.
After being abused and treated like a whore her whole life, Aelphaba finally got to leave that place, having more bandages tired around her back leg from abuse. She came to the Cross-Road Stables, with a heart and soul too black for anybody to hope to penetrate, from years of abuse.
Personality: Secluded, mysterious, and almost a bit evil.
Why I should choose you for this equine: Well, I have no specific reason, other than I love her and would love for her to start off my HARPG stables
