Does this work on PS Elements 10?

I would imagine so, but I don't know if PS Elements has Curves.

It has color curves, I don't know if there is a difference.

Does it have curves for lightness and darkness?

Would this work on a paint horse? Say it was a chestnut pinto, could I use the same way to make it into a piebald?
Loving the tutorial series, by the way. Very very helpful for amatuers like myself.

I think it would work, although the light portions of the horse might become too light. I've never tried using this on a paint, but I've used this and some additional steps to create a paint.

I'm glad the tutorials are helpful! Sometimes when I look at tutorials I have trouble following the steps, so I try to make mine clear.

Nice!
Could you do a black horse to a white one? Or does it have the same 'concept' except a different colour?

Black horse to white horse is much harder and will not always come out looking right. It would be pretty much the same concept, but you would not have to de-saturate it much or at all.

This is super useful! Could you do a tutorial on how to get more complex colours, like roan or paint etc.?

I'd love to! I'll be covering paints in the marking tutorial, but making an extension of the color change tutorial would be a good idea. What colors would you be interested in?
