I have to say two things. One, it's clear you didn't use a model or reference. I'm a big-cat fan, and I can see some dodginess in the general shape, the ear profile, etc. Two, no, I can NOT do better myself. It's a really good pic, and is even recognizable as a tiger (though if you lost the stripes it might be a lot closer to a mountain lion). Two thumbs up from me, and congrats on staying awake in what sounds like a boring class.

Thanks yea, it's hard to remain focus on a drawing like that, take notes and try to stay awake. I'm going to try another big cat soon and this time take my time and focus.
