I learned a lot.
A more classical/iconic themed interpretation with both physical and magical aggression to their duel (I figure sisters would fight at a more personal distance).

This an amazing picture. Lots of details and the epic scope a battle between two Alicorns with godlike powers deserve. Love the tails and manes, and how the manes are interwoven, as if they have their own little battle. The background is lovely too, with a dark void of space on Nightmare Moon's side and a colorful nebula (birthplace of suns) on Celestia's.
