Description This is another illustration that'll find it's way into the Shadow World Player Guides.

(Shadow World is a High Fantasy RPG Campaign World Setting)

It's set in the Emerald Forest. A Dryad, feeling curious, pops her head around the trunk and gaze at the approaching adventurers.

Poser imported into Vue for the environment and rendered. Playing with the sub surface scattering for the Dryad. Does anybody know the correct setting for human skin?

As the dears were old models (with a basic plastic like surface, I fiddled with the SSS on them too in order to give them a more fuzzy appearance).

Nice job, sometimes I find it startling how real 3d can look. the ivy along the tree could indeed be the real thing

Vue and Poser are in bed together. And it looks like you took advantage of this to great effect.

That's an Erlini Elf, I imagine. A timid one. Or she might be a scout who is just curious.

Vue's compatibility with Poser is great, but setting up the lights and materials to obtain decent human skin is a real challenge because more advanced materials are lost in the conversion. This happens because Poser shader nodes are proprietary and undocumented, so no other 3D application can actually support them. There is a 3rd party plugin solution [link] to handle this called SkinVue, though.
