Humdedum I'm BSing my way through this shit >:U

Botan for the convention (the day I have to have it done, no less), upon the River Styx. If there's anything I remember always and so fondly about Yu Yu Hakusho, it's the unbelievably catchy beginning where Botan flips around, soaring around in the sky over Earth/River Styx, and then the logo shows up. Seriously, she IS the Grim Reaper (as crazy as shenanigans can get), and I like to try and remember her in that way. She may not seem like an important character, but to me, she is. She's a very important one. Deal with it.

Lots of primary work here! I'm not sure how it ended up that way, but damn I love the primaries. I really love finding an excuse to work with them if I can. To balance out all the pink and yellow this image was bound to have, I used a blue for all of the shading...with a bit of light yellow for highlights. Simple color theory that makes things pop!

I...I suddenly feel like coloring like this is cheating. So quickly, I mean. I think realism always generally has this sort of effect on me but I dun even know man.

I'm pretty stoked to meet Cynthia Cranz, Botan's English VA! I'mma have her sign a print or two.

Hnnngh now to do a somewhat clean sketch of Axel and BS the coloring as best I can and get my brother out of my hair ORZ SO MUCH TO DO STILL.
