Description A tri-photo I created with 3 images I shot with my Yashica 124-G using Fuji Velvia 100. I then scanned the slides with a Epson 4990 Scanner, each photo is a full crop 6X6 at 5291X5291 with 2400 dpi! Film still rocks

Border done with CS2
Minor color corrections to match the true slides in CS2

Let me know how you guys like it, this one will be going up in a clients office

Do you use the spot metering in your 5D to make the exposures correct? I will be getting a 5D after my loan goes through next week and i was not sure if using the camera's meter would be sufficient.

Very nice, man. For some reason it works perfectly in that disjointed format, I think because each frame is a very strong composition in and of itself. The relation between the pictures makes your eye wander back and forth. It's hard to argue with any of the choices you made with this sucker. Yet another piece to be proud of.

Lovely work. I particularly like the square format, very reminicient of the old 'blads of old. Alas! poor Velvia 50...we knew him well. Oh well! What's the new stuff like?
I've been using RawShooter Premium 2006 from pixmantec recently and there's a raw slider called "Vibrance" and it creates a very familiar colour and saturation bias that could almost be called "Velvia" like.

Thank you

I actually really like the new Velvia, at first I was scared that it was going to be crap like the Velvia 100F but when I recieved my first slides back I was very impressed. It seems that the images have a bit more pop over the old Velvia 50

As for digital velvia, send me your email and I will send you the good stuff

Great Picture.
I really like the colors.
How did you create the frame? (just Canvas) it's very good.
I tried to do this kinda of frame but it never worked out as good as yours.

cravingfordesign In reply to klakice [2006-05-26 19:12:09 +0000 UTC]

Thank you!

I actually created the frame on accident
I did a thick inner stroke on each photo in PS, I then colored the stroke a very light gray (off-white) color to give it the bevel cut look, I then did a seperate layer for the black frame and gave it a small inner drop shadow
