Description I know what you're thinking: another alien? So soon? And my answer to that is, yes, another alien. The only reason though is that, compared to the majority of the aliens that I have designed/redesigned, these ones were much less complicated to conceive; I was able to bang them out in about an hour.

Furthermore, I've been wanting to create a batch of 'useless' aliens for quite some time. Ever since Walkatrout, Mole-stache, Pesky Dust, and The Worst were revealed in Omniverse, they were perceived to be useless by both Ben and the fanbase, even when their unique abilities were revealed. To that, I say that both Ben and the fanbase are missing the point. The Omnitrix was not designed to be a weapon, it was meant to be a genetic database for all cataloged sentient species, as well as a device of peace. This means that not every species is going to have cool or flashy powers, since those powers were, in fact, originally evolved so that they could survive as a species. It's like why octopuses have, like, five different abilities at their disposal - they're not trying to save the day or put on a show, they're trying to eat and avoid getting eaten.

That being said, just because an alien doesn't have any useful abilities doesn't mean that they are useless. As Pesky Dust has so often shown us, they're often very useful in niche situations, such as interrogation, in Pesky Dust's case. Plus, as a bonus, they often provide a greater challenge than aliens with conventional powers!

Enough explanation! Onto the facts!

Name: Freezerburn

Species: Oxynaspid

Home World: Ventus

Powers/abilities: Freezerburn's most notable ability is to be able to absorb large amounts of oxygen through his skin and blast it back out at hurricane-level winds. He can adjust the temperature of this air as needed, allowing him to create blinding blizzards and behave as a living flame thrower at his leisure. These powerful winds can also produce a powerful suction, allowing Freezerburn to pull objects much larger and heavier than himself towards him; as a result, he can also open his mouth very wide.

It is virtually impossible to move an Oxynaspid from where they're standing, due to them secreting a sticky, quick-hardening slime from the bottom of their single foot.

Freezerburn can rotate himself a complete 360 degrees inside his shell, as it is not attached to his body.

When in danger, Oxynaspids can withdraw into their practically indestructible shell.

Being roughly a foot tall, Freezerburn can fit into tight spaces.

Oxynaspids are immune to certain toxic chemicals and gases.

Weaknesses: Freezerburn's most glaring weakness is his inability to move. Whenever Ben turns into him, he is immediately rooted to the surface he is standing on, whether that be the ground, a skateboard, or even Rook's shoulder. Due to this restriction, Freezerburn is not very useful in combat, only providing viable assistance in very niche situations.

Taydenite is one of the few substances that can remove a Oxynaspid.

Etymology: Freezerburn is named after the condition that occurs when frozen food has been damaged by dehydration and oxidation, due to air reaching the food. While this doesn't directly tie-in to Freezerburn, it references his capabilities, specifically his ability to change the temperature of the winds he creates.

Trivia: The species is named after a genus of barnacles.

The species' home world is taken from "ventus", the Latin word for wind.

Freezerburn's appearance changes depending on the temperatures of the winds that he creates. Whenever he blows cold winds, ice will form around his head; when he blow hot winds, his head catches fire.

Freezerburn greatly resembles the Pokemon Castform, especially in his alternate forms. This was an unintentional design choice on Creaturemaster's part, as he merely intended to create an alien that was based on a barnacle.

Freezerburn's design was greatly influenced by a certain facial expression made by Ryan Haywood of Achievement Hunter's animated avatar in an episode of AH Animatedi:  www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bbs8X2…

Before their sentience was discovered, the Oxynaspids were often captured and sold as living heating/cooling units. Seeing as how this provided them with a steady supply of food for little effort, the Oxynaspids saw no reason to reveal their intelligence for quite some time, only breaking their allusion when food was withheld.

Ventus is a rocky, barren wasteland of a planet plagued by frequent sandstorms and gale-force winds, due to the toxic soup of chemicals that make up its atmosphere. As a result, most organisms have evolved to either use the winds to their advantage in order to cross the vast distance between pocket oases or manipulate them for their own benefit; the Oxynaspids have gone with the latter. Having evolved from filter-feeders, the species evolved their wind-producing capabilities in order to capture bits of food blowing past, as well as to protect themselves from potential predators. As a result of living in large colonies on isolated rock spires out on the open plains, Oxynaspids society is rudimentary at best.

Due to their sessile life style, Oxynaspids have no parenting instincts and simply release their reproductive material into the winds without any concern for any potential offspring. Despite this, they have a strong familial instincts and treat all members of their colony as if they were a part of their family, regardless of genetic relation. They reason that, since they are quite literally stuck together, it's best to get along with everyone.

Fire so cold, it burns.

Not necessarily. He can switch the temperature as he pleases, so the fire is still very much hot. Plus, blue fire is actually hotter than, you know, fire-fire.

Then it's plasma. Plasma are usually blue in appearance while acidic fire is usually green.

It's more like Heatblast's fire. Like I said, fire is actually hotter when (ironically) blue. Not so sure about acid fire. I'm not proclaiming to be an element expert here or anything, I just know that blue fire is hotter than orange/red fire.

Then solar energy. Heatblast lives on a star so his flames are akin to the star.

I suppose that makes sense, but this isn't necessarily like Heatblast. I know I said it was like Heatblast, but it's not really. I'm honestly not sure what to compare it to. I just know that when Freezerburn is on fire, he's hot, not cold.

Dude, you just said it. It's plasma. This alien is a offshoot version of Ultimate Big Chill.

Granted, it's not Black Skull's Hotfreeze who is Arctic Lava but that's your implement: Plasma Fire and Subzero Ice with a Kirby cuteness.

"Plasma Fire and Subzero Ice with a Kirby cuteness"

Huh. I guess that's one way of looking at it.

Yep. Speaking of useless, I updated Walkatrout, Toepick and The Worst on my Arsenal of Ben 10 Earth-8223. Check it out

Is it on your Deviantart account? I tried looking (granted I typed "Walkatrout" and "Earth-8223", but that kind of thing usually works), but I can't find it.

It's on my gallery. I just now learn how to add tags. That's why it's not on the Search list.

Can't say I agree with all changes you made (Walkatrout), but overall, not bad!
