Hello, everyone! I hope you're all doing well, considering the circumstances. I'm doing alright myself - in fact, I have some exciting news! For my birthday a couple weeks back, I received a new computer and a digital drawing pen that allows me to use it like a drawing tablet (not quite the real thing, but close enough)! With any luck, I'll be able to start cranking out digital pieces at a faster pace, as I've been using Adobe Illustrator up until now, but that will require some patience, time, and a lot of practice.

Enter this piece. I decided for my first official trial, I should try something simple, and so I decided to do an update of 's OC alien, Snowbrawl! Yes, for those of you who have been following me for a decent amount of time, you may remember this alien. However, I feel I didn't quite stay true to its original design, which was a lot more squishy and cute.

If any of you are digital doodlers out there and have any tips for a rookie, please let me know! I really want to get better!

Onto the facts!

Name: Snowbrawl

Species: Plontan

Homeworld: Polaris Minor

Personality: Occasionally referring to himself in the third person, Snowbrawl displays a cheerful and kind personality, not unlike that of a child. Unlike Rath, who treat every fight like a challenge, Snowbrawl will treat every battle he is in like a game, such as referring to throwing opponents as "Trouble-maker Toss" and chasing after foes as "Trouble-maker Tag", among other such labels. Snowbrawl is also incredibly protective of others and will readily leap to their defense should they need him, usually by using his own body as a shield. He speaks with a Swedish accent and his voice deepens the bigger he gets. In addition, his maturity also increases the larger he gets, often resulting in him scolding adult villains as if they were naughty children; despite this, he retains a playful demeanor

Powers/abilities: Being composed of millions of ice crystal-like microbes, Snowbrawl possess limited shape-shifting capabilities. He is able to increase his size and form various parts of his body into crude offensive and defensive structures, such as shields or clubs. In addition, he is able to generate ice spikes on various parts of his body, such as forming sharp claws, fangs, or defensive quills as needed.

Snowbrawl's shape-shifting abilities and frosty appearance allow him to camouflage himself in polar environments. This also allows them to effortlessly withstand sub-zero temperatures.

Plontans are able to pack themselves into a ball and roll around, not unlike Arburian Pelarota. Unlike them however, whatever they run over - including potential enemies - has a tendency to get stuck in their bodies.

While Snowbrawl is not particularly strong, his strength increases the bigger he gets, allowing him to perform such feats as picking up a truck and using a sheet of metal he tore from the side of a ship as a shield.

Weaknesses: As a result of their frost-based anatomy, Plontan are incredibly vulnerable to warm temperatures and will cause him to melt. This restricts him to places where it is cold enough for him to maintain his form.

One of Snowbrawl's primary weaknesses is his need to defend others by sacrificing himself, making him easy to manipulate and trap. It's unknown whether this a fault on Ben's part or whether the Plontan DNA simply magnifies his need to protect others to a harmful degree.

Though they aren't particularly fast, Plontan have good endurance.

Etymology: Snowbrawl's name is a portmanteau of the words "snowball" and "brawl".

Trivia: The Plontan homeworld comes from the word "polar".

Snowbrawl's shares many similarities with Baymax from Big Hero 6, the Snow Golem from Adventure Time, and theodd1sout Youtube persona. His personality is also strongly based on that of League of Legends champion, Braum. In spite of all of this however, his over all appearance and powers are based on that of a simple snowman.

Polaris Minor is a frozen moon orbiting a larger planet, known to the Plontan as "the big, happy, blue ball in the sky", with approximately three major continents connected by semi-frozen seas from pole to pole. The moon almost never sees sunlight and is thus constantly plunged into an eternal night, allowing for near constant auroras to fill the sky with brilliant colors. Though the planet is largely devoid of plant life, evergreen-like trees and lichens manage to maintain vast herds of creatures that bear passing resemblances to reindeer and penguins, albeit from a distance.

The Plontan live in large villages whose buildings consist of small, humble igloos or complex snow forts, depending on the size of the settlement. Though they evolved their chionokinetic capabilities as ambush predators, Plontans are an ironically warm and friendly species that love to entertain visitors. They love to play games with one another, such as having epic snowball fights and going ice skating, and throw an annual festival every year to celebrate the one time of the year where they are able to see sunlight. They often play host to a number of extraterrestrial species that are looking for a winter getaway, such as the inhabitants of the planet that they orbit.
