Today, we are gathered here to celebrate a special day, a day in which we are here to celebrate a very special someone . . . or that would be the case if I had any sense of time and rigid commitment. In this specific case, we are gathered here to celebrate the memory of special day that has come to past, a memory of a day that has come to past in which we would celebrate a special someone!

That's right, I'm talking about the one, the only, whose work you've all been seeing recently! Their birthday just happened to be today (read: yesterday), so I thought what better way to celebrate than with candles . . ! Or at least an alien based on candles? I swear there was connection around here somewhere . . . in any case, I'm back with another alien from his extraterrestrial arsenal!

Onto the facts!

Name: Waxworx

Species: Aliphatycean

Home World: Serecin

Personality: Waxworx speaks with a French accent and can often be seen stroking or playing with his luxurious mustache whenever the opportunity presents itself. Ben claims that he can't control this and that it's an instinctual impulse. Furthermore, Waxworx behaves in a manner similar to that of an eccentric artist or art critic, taking the time to examine villains, the results of their misdeeds, or the devices they make and then offering up advice and criticism as if they were works of art. In this vein, he refers to Dr. Animo's mutant frogs as "old hat", referring to his common usage of them, and Albedo as nothing more than a "tiresome, hasbeen wannabe incapable of of moving on with even a speck of decency". He even critiques his friends at times, noting that Rook looked "dashing and exuberant" in his Proto-Tech Armor, though remarking that he "looked better with the Mohawk", referring to the time he became infected by Fistrick's testosterone.

Powers/Abilities: Waxworx is an amorphous pile of sapient, organic wax that is capable of altering the shape and form of his body. Similar to Goop, this provides him with a sense of invulnerability - ammunition fire harmlessly passes through, falls from tremendous heights hardly phase him, and being caught under literal tons of rubble and debris is rendered all but painless. In addition, this also grants him the ability to grow and detach additional limbs at his discretion.

Largely due to their amorphous body and rapid, cellular-generation, Aliphatyceans are able to shape and mold their bodies in various weapons and structures, such as shields, hammers, and ramps. Waxworx has even figured out how to form 'additional' henchmen that are attached to him from a distance by a tether of wax, a skill that no Aliphatycean is known to possess.

Waxworx is able to alter the density of his own body, allowing his otherwise fragile and easily destroyed constructs to become as hard as the materials they mimic, such as when he was able to slice through the barrel of a Plumber tank with one swing.

By using their own wax as ammunition, Aliphatycean are able to imprison others in their quick-hardening wax as strong as Appoplexians.

Waxworx has elastic qualities that allow him to stretch his body over long distances, such as when he used his mustache to fire himself up the height of Billions Towers.

Weaknesses: Waxworx's primary weakness is that of extreme temperatures. Fire and hot temperatures make his movements sluggish and wax begin to melt and run, making it near impossible for him to retain a moveable shape. Freezing temperatures make him brittle and more fragile, as well as greatly limit the movement of his limbs.

Though their wax is quite durable, Aliphatycean are unable to imprison species with superior strength, such as Vaxasaurians or To'kustars.

Etymology: Waxworx is a play on the work "waxwork", which is a term for a dummy or sculpture made entirely out of wax.

Trivia: The species name is taken from aliphatic compounds, which are hydrocarbons that comprise most organic forms of wax, such as beeswax or spermaceti.

The species home world comes from ceresin, a type of wax derived from ozokerite, a type of naturally occurring mineral wax, by a purifying process.

Waxworx's abilities are strongly inspired by One Piece character, Galdino/Mr. 3. His appearance and habits are also inspired by Lumiere, from Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

Much of the Aliphatycean fashion is based on combination of Victoria-era clothing, candelabras, candelabrums, and chandeliers. Those who are determined to distinguish themselves from the "riffraff and rabble" incorporate lit flames into their clothing at their own risk.

Aliphatycean are a rather stuffy species that can come off as rude or insufferable to those with thin skin. They are however, pleasant enough to attend one of their luxurious balls, which are renown throughout the galaxy as being extremely extravagant and patrician - if for no other reason than for the Aliphatycean to show off their immense, material wealth and aristocratic superiority. This immense revenue comes from the simple fact that that the species has a foothold in just about every, conceivable industry there is on the galactic market - and even a few that aren't. So affluent are they, that the monarchy is able to handsomely pay off the entire Incursean empire every single time they attempt to stage an invasion, to the point where the Incurseans admit that the Aliphatycean are one of the handful of species they intend to never actually subjugate, destroy, or conquer; this list includes Earth and no more than three other planets.

Unbeknownst to most of the galaxy, the Aliphatycean have an more exorbitant and indulgent ball that is reserve for only the most prestigious of guests and nobles. Normally exclusive only to the royal family and a few, esteemed individuals whose notoriety is on par with that of the nobility, this ball is thrown at the exact same time as any of their other balls and specifically held in a confidential dance hall above the festivities. The floor is comprised of a one-sided glass for the sole purpose of allowing the exclusive attendees to look down and mock those who are literally beneath them. The party is so restricted that even the attendants ministering to the guests are required to wear Optical-Filtering goggles that only allow them to see in infrared, preventing them even enjoying the mere sight of the ballroom's extravagance.

During their road trip, Ben, Gwen, Kevin, and Rook attempted to acquire an Endurin crystal in order to power the Rust Bucket 3 without having to keep spending money on fuel. The only place to find one within driving distance was on Serecin at an Aliphatycean ball, which they were initially barred from entering until Ben revealed himself and used his fame to gain them all access. Upon hearing noise coming from the ceiling and unable to find the crystal in the normal ball, Ben investigated and found the exclusive, secret ball being thrown above them, where he also found an Endurin crystal being used to decorate the appetizers. With entry prohibited and every infiltration attempt foiled, Ben was only able to gain entry by turning into Waxworx and going as the date of Mynorah, the princess of Serecin, who a had a crush on him. When the Omnitrix timed out just as he grabbed the Endurin crystal, Ben was forced to flee, leave Mynorah behind, and consequently forbidden from ever stepping foot on Serecin again. Despite this, Mynorah still keeps in contact with Ben and constantly makes romantic advances towards him. While he admits that she's "cute, in a weird, fan-girly kind of way", Ben only sees her as a friend.

While Mynorah does think Waxworx is attractive (especially his mustache), she also likes Ben's human form.

Mynorah's name is taken from the menorah in Jewish culture, a seven or nine-lamp candelabra used in either religious ceremonies or to celebrate Hanukkah.

Serecin is described as "Steampunk San Francisco with lots of H.G. Wells and Jules Verne-like architecture and technology".
