Description As per the request of , I have taken a sample of Crystalsapien DNA, turned the clock forward a million years or so, and grew a specimen to see just what the heck the species would have evolved into. Behold, ladies and gentlemen, I give you none other than . . . Ultimate Chromastone!

On with the facts!

Name: Ultimate Chromastone

Species: Snellisapien (Evolved Crystalsapien)

Home Planet: Petropia

Powers/Abilities: Over millions of years, the Crystalsapien species have evolved to become highly specialized into doing one thing and one thing only: protecting Petropia and her people, the Petrosapiens. As such, they have become much stronger than her devolved forms, able to easily go toe to toe with a Vaxasaurian at full-size.

Ultimate Chromastone is no longer able to absorb energy through his body. Instead, he can absorb light through the many crystals along his body and focus that into a high-powered beam through specialized crystals in the palms of his hands. This beam is incredibly powerful and ha been known to slice objects as big as mountains in half or melt spacecraft midair without difficulty. He can also fire them out of his three eyes and is able to redirect most forms of energy, though he can not absorb it like he could before.

Ultimate Chromastone is much more durable than his devolved form as shown when Vilgax punched him and broke his hand in the process.

Snellisapien are capable of flight.

In the event that they are destroyed, Snellisapiens can reform and regenerate themselves from the smallest of grains.

Weaknesses: Ultimate Chromastone is not able to absorb intense amounts of light if he is not expecting it.

Certain ultrasonic frequencies can shatter Snellisapiens, such as those produced by a Sonorosian or Loboan.

All of Ultimate Chromastone's pieces must come together in order for him to properly regenerate. If a single piece is missing, he will be malformed upon regeneration and substantially weaker than before. If he is broken enough times and if enough pieces are kept from merging together, this can and will kill him.

Etymology: Chroma means purity or intensity of color, which talks about how the intensity of the color in his rays, and stone, which implies that he is a stone-based lifeforms. Chromastone is also a play on Chromosome, a component of cellular biology related to DNA.

Trivia: The species' name comes from Snell's Law, a formula used to describe the relationship between the angles of incidence and and refraction when referring to light or other wavelengths when passing through a boundary with two different isotropic media, such as water and glass.

The Ultimate Forms were given new species names due to them being genetically distinct from their devolved forms.

Ultimate Chromastone's design is based off some discarded concept art for Omniverse. He also draws inspiration from the character, Reinhart, from Overwatch.

Because there is only one Crystalsapien in existence (not counting Chromastone) it is unknown if or how the species could have or will evolve into their Ultimate forms. It is most likely that the Galvans assisted in producing clones so that the species could continue to evolve, as they are not immortal.

The malformed appearance of poorly regenerated Crystalsapiens was inspired by Steven Universe.

Crystalsapiens were forced to evolve beyond their original forms due to the millions of miners and thieves that converged on Petropia and its people, due to them being quite literally made out of money. They can often be found orbiting around Petropia and protecting it from anyone that attempts to try and mine away its vast resources of Taydenite or kidnap its people for a theoretically endless supply. They treat almost anyone as a threat, which has sometimes accidentally gotten pilots with good intentions shot down and marooned on the planets surface . . . or worse.

Perhaps, if a good idea came to me. For now though, it would have to be done by commission, and I don’t have any of those set up right now.

I'm not sure if you'll like this idea, but what about an alien called "Scribe" who has the ability to literally write anything into existence sort of like the Inkheart Film but with limits of course. The Omnitrix will automatically supply him with a scroll and maybe a quill? to write with. He'll have little to no physical ability and is probably weaker than the average human. He also has a very arrogant and cold personality. Thanks for hopefully thinking about this idea if you are willing to do it.

Can you maybe create a crocodile like alien, you could even link it to Mansharks natural enemy, other potential animal based aliens that would be cool to see are Scorpions, Rhinos, Hippos, Dolphins, Penguins etc

CreaturemasterProds In reply to Ultimatrix1234 [2017-03-16 22:50:13 +0000 UTC]

I'd have to talk to Yakkowarner about the crocodile one since, believe it or not, that's not an alien they've actually created yet.

As for the other animal aliens, believe it or not once more, a vast majority of them have been requested and have thus been scheduled for later release, which is whenever I have time. That being said, I'm trying to make some of the upcoming aliens more . . . alien, I suppose. For example, a good majority of the aliens that debuted in the original series, like Four Arms, Cannonbolt, Eye Guy, Upgrade, or Ditto. They're all vaguely similar to things or animals we now and yet are largely more extraterrestrial in nature, unlike Stinkfly, XLR8, or the four Halloween monster aliens.

I don't know if this idea has been done before or if you will even like it but for an Alien design would it be possible to make an Alien based off of a Ventriloquist's Dummy, which has the power to produce strings that connect to an enemies nervous system allowing the alien to control the movements of others at will. Essentially reversing the classical Ventriloquist roll with the Dummy being the controller.

Believe it or not, this has actually been done once or twice. You may or may not have heard of this, but have you ever heard of an alien by the name of Ventrilosquid? Now before you start digging around Deviantart or the official Ben 10 wiki, here's all you need to know: Ventrilosquid doesn't exist, at least technically speaking.

Basically, Ventrilosquid is one of but a bunch of alien hero names that we have been given that don't have an actual alien to assign them to, such examples being "Snakepit", "Sandbox", and "Shellhead". Other than that, there isn't much information to go off of, other than that Matt Wayne, the head writer of Ben 10: Omniverse, described him as "sort of a telepath".

Based on his name, I think it's safe to say that he is essentially something that's akin to a mind controlling parasite.

As for where this is all going, it has been my plan to create my own versions of what I think the aliens that might have those names might look like, what their powers might be, etc. That being said, there's a chance that my versions will be influenced by other artist's before me - if I get around to it considering all the requests and projects I have - but I suppose we can't have everything.

I've never been a fan of Chromastone (though his Omniverse redesign looked kinda cool) but I do like this design for him. He looks like a physical powerhouse, which is always cool, and absorbing light is much more unique than just absorbing energy, so that's a plus.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CreaturemasterProds In reply to Danny-Buckle [2017-03-05 18:15:08 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I never really liked Chromastone too much either. When he first appeared, I thought we were getting a Diamondhead clone and while his energy absorption abilities helped differentiate himself a bit, his other powers such as flight and the ones that are "more than unknown", as Tetrax quoted, just felt like they Frankenstein-stitched him together. It wasn't until we got Feedback that I just didn't really like Chromastone any more since Feedback just felt so much better in every way; plus, canon-wise, he debuted before Ben ever got Chromastone, so he just felt like they threw two aliens together to make a new one, kind of like they did with Swampfire.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Danny-Buckle In reply to CreaturemasterProds [2017-03-05 18:27:18 +0000 UTC]

Precisely. The Diamondhead Clone thing bothers me the most, because Diamondhead is my favourite alien, and Chromastone feels like a mockery of a far superior transformation. I completely agree on the Feedback thing as well. The only saving grace about Chromastone is that his Omniverse redesign looks cool and his new voice was somewhat entertaining. That's it. Everything else about him is boring and lacks creativity.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CreaturemasterProds In reply to Danny-Buckle [2017-03-05 18:33:02 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I agree. The other thing that didn't help Chromastone was his lack of appearance in Omniverse and the choice to give him an official redesign on the last episode of Omniverse. Then again, the show was already apparently on the rocks since CN was airing it at what I call "The Doomed Dimension", which is that time slot that is practically at the very beginning of CN's air time. You know, that time that is so ungodly early that hardly anyone will be up to watch it and they just air for the sake of filler since they've unofficially canceled it? When that happens to a show, you pretty much can do whatever you want from that point onward, so I guess it's not too much of a surprise that the Omniverse crew decided to go all out on the final episode.

Unfortunately, that means the Reboot will never be able to live up to the four previous series in any way possible because, come on, creating the freakin' universe is nigh impossible to beat. I seriously doubt there would be any way to top it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Danny-Buckle In reply to CreaturemasterProds [2017-03-05 18:41:05 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I know what you mean. CN needs to get their act together fast, because once Steven Universe, Gumball and Adventure Time are gone, the channel is going to have nothing of value to watch.

Maybe the reboot will show Ben creating and destroying universes for fun using that universe's version of Alien X? Somehow, I doubt that'll ever happen. The reboot in general has been pretty disappointing so far. I mean, a few villains were entertaining (Animo, La Grange and Steam Smythe come to mind) but the rest were quite dull and under-developed. Plus the fight scenes (minus a few like Darkstar vs Heatblast and Heatblast vs Ringo) are really short and not very interesting. I hope the last ten episodes are entertaining, but I doubt it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CreaturemasterProds In reply to Danny-Buckle [2017-03-05 19:06:30 +0000 UTC]

I'm pretty sure Adventure Time is already over, considering the "Islands" miniseries was released on the CN app before the creators originally wanted to release them (just like those Steven Universe episodes). Somehow and unfortunately, I don't think CN will have difficulty keeping viewers from watching their channel; all they have to do is spam Teen Titans GO! even more than before and they'll somehow keep a majority of their audience. As for quality programming that is actually good, then yeah, CN is in definite trouble and is probably heading towards where Nickelodeon is.

Speaking of Nick, I'm pretty sure they're at least trying to correct their mistakes. I mean, they've finally cancelled Fairly Odd Parents after who knows how many seasons and movies, the original writer for Spongebob (the first three seasons and the first movie before everything went downhill) came back to "clean up the horribly mess Nick has made", as some fans have put it, and TMNT is still airing from what I understand, which is arguably the only good show left on Nick. There are rumors that they might be rebooting some of their old 90's shows (and hopefully doing it right) or doing a second Danny Phantom series, but no promises yet.

As for CN, I'd say they're pretty much toast. The only descent show left is Mighty Magiswords and that's only a "meh" show, probably because it's pretty much drowning in a sea of Teen Titans GO!

Regarding the Ben 10 Reboot, I highly doubt that it will ever live up to the past four series. I mean, it's not absolute garbage as other reboots go (Powerpuff Girls and Teen Titans GO!), but it's not awesome as it could be or was (Samurai Jack, a reboot done RIGHT). I'll admit, they did some things right, such as keeping Ben's voice actor (if they replaced her - Ben's voiced by Tara Strong, right? - I would have literally marched down to CN and cracked a few skulls), creating a few intriguing villains and keeping some intriguing old ones, and keeping some of the aliens as their original designs.

But then again, they've done a lot of terrible things, such as some of the alien redesigns (Stinkfly, Wildvine), alien additions (Overflow), alien subtractions (Ghostfreak, Wildmutt, Ripjaws, Upchuck, Eye Guy, the Halloween Trio, Way Big, maybe even Feedback), replacing Gwen and Grandpa Max's voice actors, creating abysmal villains or turning the old villains into pieces of garbage, making the fight scenes too short and lame, having Ben and Gwen actually agreeing on a lot of things (I remember how I didn't like Ben and Gwen constantly fighting in the original series, even though that's what made it more real, but upon seeing them agree on some of the stupidest stuff I've come to greatly appreciate it), making the humor far too random, the fact that they don't even try to keep the Omnitrix a secret, the lack of the Plumbers/Grandpa Max's past, a lack of any overlying plot, and of course, the lack of one of the greatest Cartoon Network villains of all time: Vilgax.

Seriously, what is Ben 10 without Vilgax or someone else obsessing over the Omnitrix and/or getting revenge on Ben?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Danny-Buckle In reply to CreaturemasterProds [2017-03-05 19:26:34 +0000 UTC]

Huh, I wasn't aware of that. Interesting.

Yeah, Nick is finally on the mend after years of terrible programming. I just hope it lasts.

CN needs to bring back actual action shows. Until they do that, I'm pretty much going to ignore it.

Oh yeah, the reboot is not nearly as bad as Teen Titans Go (I can't really talk for PPG 2016 though) but being better than the Toddler Titans isn't really an achievement. Again, Animo, La Grange and Steam Smythe are enjoyable enough, and guys like Lord Decibel (I hate that name), the Weatherheads and Darkstar all have a bit of potential, but the rest are just...boring. Not even groan-worthy or rage-inducing, just plain boring. The redesigns don't really bother me (I just pretend that Stinkfly, Wildvine and Overflow are all just subspecies of the originals), but removing Wildmutt, Ripjaws and Ghostfreak does genuinely bother me.

The randomness of the humour is annoying, but it can be used to the show's advantage ("Ringo" is easily the best example of this, since the villain is a cartoon character in-universe), while Ben and Gwen seem to be disagreeing a bit more in the later episodes (maybe they caught on to their mistake?) so that's something at least. I do hate that they've been ignoring Ben's secret, but I guess it's just a side-effect of the randomness of the show.

I truly hope that episode forty will finally introduce Vilgax in all his glory. I will forgive everything the show has done so far if they pull of Vilgax. If not...well I'll give up on the show permanently. Knowing how bad they screwed up Vilgax will make the show feel repulsive, and it'll quickly become unbearable to watch.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CreaturemasterProds In reply to Danny-Buckle [2017-03-06 03:57:01 +0000 UTC]

Oh, yeah, total agreement there. If Vilgax makes the cut and is actually as awesome as his previous iterations, then all is forgiven. If not, then the Ben 10 Reboot is absolutely dead to me.

Danny-Buckle In reply to CreaturemasterProds [2017-03-06 04:38:39 +0000 UTC]

To be fair to the reboot though, it's harder to screw up Vilgax more than they did in Alien Force, so as long as they don't make Vilgax a Darkseid clone who can turn into a giant squid, then I'll take it. (seriously, everything about him in season three sucked)

CreaturemasterProds In reply to Danny-Buckle [2017-03-06 17:31:31 +0000 UTC]

I get the feeling that was because a good majority of Alien Force was focused upon the Highbreed. Who knows, maybe they couldn't come up with a decent plot for the rest the series and just threw cobbled bits and pieces together to see what they would get.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Danny-Buckle In reply to CreaturemasterProds [2017-03-06 18:33:54 +0000 UTC]

It wouldn't surprise me...but it also doesn't excuse the sheer level of terribleness on display here. Even if it's s a rushed effort, making the franchise's Big Bad a competent threat should be the top priority every time.

On another note, I kinda think that AF Season Three would've been far better off if it was setting up the second Negative Ten team, as it would somewhat justify the canonically pointless fillers and add a bit of intrigue throughout Alien Force. I can see the line-up (Albedo, Hex, Charmcaster, Darkstar, Vulcanus, The Vreedle Brothers, Sunder, Ssserpent, and Argit) being a fun challenge for Ben, and fun is something the UAF lacked a lot.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CreaturemasterProds In reply to Danny-Buckle [2017-03-06 23:16:52 +0000 UTC]

While I agree that a second Negative Ten would be a definetly thriller and throwback to the original series, I don't think Argut would qualify as a member. For one, while his morals are certainly questionable and he's definetly no hero, he's not as big of a threat as say, Albedo or even Sssserpent; if anything, he's more of an anti-hero who will only help if it somehow benefits him, such as getting out of a situation alive or making a quick buck. Other than that, he's more of a neutral party that's willing to play both sides to see which one will be better for him in the long run (which usually turns out to be Ben's team).

That being said, what about Zombozo? He just up and suddenly appeared in one episode with Charmcaster and Vulkanus without explanation of what happened the last time we saw him. Plus, that would mean would have to face his fear of clowns again, like he did in Omniverse (still don't get the peacock fear. My bet it was either a bad childhood experience or Ben was just trying to deny it and a fear of peacocks was the first thing that came to mind).

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Danny-Buckle In reply to CreaturemasterProds [2017-03-06 23:36:49 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Argit doesn't really fit the team, but I was trying to stick with characters that showed up in the fillers during season three of Alien Force, and I couldn't think of anyone else that fit those requirements. Though, with the benefit of hindsight, maybe Jarrett or Psython would've been better?

I wish that Zombozo was in Alien Force (and will be in my version) but the writers just didn't care about him enough to bring him back properly. Same goes for Rojo.

(I'm pretty sure that Ben's peacock fear was confirmed to stem from a childhood experience)

Rath: Lemme tell ya somethin' Jarret of Pantophage! Stop hittin' yourself! Stop hittin' yourself! Why are you hitting yourself with your own fists even Rath is the one that is hitting you and asking why you're hitting yourself!?
