Do you mean Kornet for the Konata pony or the "real name" for Kornet?
The former is because Kornet is a bit more MLP than Konata. And since I intend to draw more pictures of this pony it seemed best for her to have a more MLP name.
The later is because that's sort of the style I saw with these that was doing. You can blame the "Pinkamina Diane Pie" thing from "The Cutie Mark Chronicles" for that.
And Cornett is an actual french name. refering to someone who blows horns; Colette ,again French, means "Victory of the people, so Colette Cornett means "To blow the horn of the victory of the people"
Kaylee is "Kay" plus the suffix "Lee" and kay is short form for any name that begins with a K. So its what makes "Cornett" into "Kornet".
