Description Horicon Marsh is now an internationally recognized nature preserve, attracting over 300 different birds and providing an important migratory stopover. Whooping cranes have been seen recently, which are among the most endangered birds on earth, and birders from around the world come to witness the massive goose migration. It's also the largest freshwater cattail marsh in North America, and has an impressive visitor center and museum. Please visit if you're cruising through Wisconsin, USA!
