Okay, so Reinman actually liked how the second draft of "a boy named sue" looked, so I didn't have to fix anything. Thus, 3 hours of doodle time. WOOOOOO.I think someone said "needs more freckle" last time I drew them, which sort of made me wonder how it would look and then this came out.
...Ignore the corner. *laughs* I'm just constantly drawing the Beatles. I actually doodled a beatles piece too........ Maybe post that later.

It's been awhile, but your post pretty much embodies how I felt when I clicked on Crispy-Gypsy's profile and saw her bookmarks of Viktor and Ivy RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME.

Viktor and Ivy are my favorites, and their weird rapport is probably my favorite part of the comic. There's something simply amazing about a femur-snapping, six and a half foot tall former rumrunner being friends with a fashionable little college student who's probably about as wide around as his bicep.
Mordecai runs a close third though.

So, who do you ship? I'm HEAVY Viktor/Ivy, Zib/Mitzi, and possible Mordecai/Viktor...But, that's only for my fangirl amusement. LOL

I enjoy Viktor/Ivy, but less as a romantic pairing and more as a strange friendship. I prefer Zib/Mitzi to Wick/Mitzi, but mainly BECAUSE of Mitzi and nothing against Wick. (I also think Wick is going to die, but whatever).
I can see there being a little... onesided Mordecai/Viktor, since Tracy has stated that Viktor "probably couldn't be any straighter", but was less forthcoming about our favorite sociopath beyond saying his "current" state is asexual. And she's also said that she'd rather leave how Mordecai felt about Viktor to the reader, though the options she mentioned were "a bizarre form of respect" and "adulation expressed in all the wrong ways."

I think Tracy intended for Viktor to be more of a father figure to Ivy after Atlas passed, but I think, somewhere along the way, Viktor stopped seeing her as a little girl and more as a young woman. I think he feels guilty for thinking of her that way, out of respect for Atlas and Mitzi, and that's why he doesn't want her to be around him, not just to protect her.
I think (Lots of 'I think's in here. LOL) I think it's gotten to the point where he's afraid he MIGHT make a move and doesn't trust himself around her. Her saying "I give up on you" probably killed him. I dunno, it works as a father thing, too. He sees her as a daughter, (maybe he lost a daughter in Russia or Slovakia, or WHEREVER HE'S FROM! LOL) and he just doesn't like her having boyfriends, but I like the romantic idea, better. I love mismatched age couples. I dunno why!
As for Mordecai, yea, I saw it as maybe he had respect for Viktor that may have started developing into deeper emotions. It could be why he didn't kill Viktor when given the chance. But again, it doesn't HAVE to be romantic to work! LOL

I have no doubt that Viktor, at the very LEAST, has rather wistfully thought, "If I was (vas? XD) twenty years younger..." in response to Ivy. And Viktor is from Austria-Hungary. And I love May-December Romances myself (Lupin and Tonks FTW!), so I'm shameless in saying that I've made a couple of rough couple ideas in my head based around Viktor and Ivy.

LOL True. I'm sure he has. As for Tonks, I'm more of a Tonks/Sirius fan. But there are plenty of other ones I like, such as Jareth/Sarah, Spike/Dawn...I mean, Buffy. LOL Umm...OH! Wolverine/Rogue! Most of my fave's are generic fan couples, or crossover couples, especially with Disney.
And I agree. I would KILL to see Mordecai with ANYONE! XD There's been some fan action matching him with Sarafine.

Honestly, I think we'd have to know more about Nico to learn that. Viktor may be at a disadvantage physically, but his mindset is (potentially) far more dirty-fighting-and-survival oriented. Also I think he's probably got more Brute Strength than Nico, since Nico's fairly well muscled but Viktor's... well, Viktor. And Nico's a boxer, but Viktor fought in the freaking French trenches.

Owen Burnett. It all started with him. I blame him. Just like someone mentioned before me, Mordecai reminds me of him. I didn't pay much attention to the comic until I found him. How I found him I cannot recall even though it was just a few hours ago, but it's Owen's fault I like characters like him. But yay! Human fanart.
