EnglishDedicated to all people who disable comments on their deviations...anf therefore restrain our freedom of speech.........Nah, just joking
, it is known that a lot of hyena deviants are walking around there, waiting the good occasion to scrap your art and all the stuff, so disabling comments can spare you a lot of inconveniences. 
Maybe I should disable comments on this stamp....

, c'est un secret pour personne que certaines personnes n'attendent qu'une occasion pour venir deverser leur fiel sur vos deviations, desactiver les commentaires vous epargne certainement beaucoup de desagrements. Peut-etre que je devrais moi aussi desactiver les commentaires sur ce stamp.....

Very true. I've considered disabling comments before. If something is "risque" (And that's by my extremely loose definition) I may just do that. Because really, comments like "Emo....." or "[insert string of expletives here]" are just not fun to look at.

*nod* Disabling comments because you don't want idiots yelling at you is a very good idea. I think comments on any YouTube video dealing with space or biology should be screened. No religious anything should get through, both pro and con. Why? It sparks stupid arguments. I totally said one time, "Please, can we stop arguing whether or not God is real and just watch the stupid video?" I may be religious, but I'm not a nut.

Problem with disabling comments is that when someone has something constructive, encouraging, helpful, etc. to say, they won't get to hear it. You never know who's comment you might have LIKED to hear if you block everyone from commenting. Dun let a bad apple spoil the bunch.
Me, I like the chance to duke it out with a troll. Sometimes I find they're a little more flexible than they first seem, and it winds up being a pleasant discussion, even if I find myself being well-countered. And if they're not mature or polite enough for civil discourse, I ignore 'em and move on.
Anywho, before I swallow a foot, time to comment on the piece.

Trolled on an anti-trolling stamp... the power of gall mixed with stupidity and hypocrisy never surprises, yet always amazes. -.-

That is true. It's just kind of annoying if you're one of those deviants who gets somewhere in the ballpark of 200 comments a day. I know someone who does, and when 160+ of them are flamers or trolls, reading through for those few that are actually decent can be rather aggravating, he said. Hence, the mass block. He'll usually post something like "if you want to leave a CONSTRUCTIVE comment, feel free to do so on my profile" to allow those with something good or useful to say a chance to say said good or useful saying.
It's a double-edged sword, sure. But I can see where both arguments come across. Maybe sometime the admins will find a way to allow artists to efficiently filter comments (if possible), and make it easier to get constructive criticisms. Like allowing more people to post actual critiques (instead of just subscribed people, as I think it is now).
But yeah. Sorry to leave an essay. Just wanted to throw out another viewpoint.

Heh, no worries. I've never been the 'TL,DR' type, and oftentimes I've started my own thesis-length posts/threads with 'Read it all, or don't comment.'
I suppose pointing people to one's profile would work decently well, as most trolls probably don't take the time to read the description. Those who really wanna say what they wanna say will usually be willing to take the time, too.
As for site updates, maybe they could make a DA BlackList of known/reported trolls, with some kind of voting system; or allow more names in the per-user ignore list (and a faster way to add people to that list).
It's a shame there's no way to make a universal anti-troll button. Or some way to instantly ban all trolls from the entire internet. But then most web admin would have nothing to do, and there wouldn't be Hall of Shame threads to browse thru, pointing and LOLing.

I must admit, I'd miss the trolls too. It's just annoying to deal with when they go too far.
