I was on /vp/ looking through fan art of Leaf when it dawned on me - some people... in fact a lot of people seem to think that Leaf's top is really 2 tops layered. Then I begin wondering about what things about Pokemon character designs bug me or remain a mystery to me.I still can't tell what Leaf is supposed to be wearing. What do you think she's wearing?

I'm still wondering if Janine and Flannery are supposed to have really thick legs or that's just baggy pants. I choose to believe the first.

Some female game characters have legs like that, though. Chun Li is the most obvious, but there are some others, too, though not surprisingly most in fighting games. I wish the Pokemon series wasn't afraid to draw females more muscular if they're canonically supposed to be strong. (So not necessarily Flannery, but Janine would fit that.)
