Description
Completely different creature to the common Troll (a simian), this creature is troll-like enough for the folk it torments. It's actually a completely different mammal, and honestly hungrier and more aggressive than its namesake. Nobody's sure why its body is green, and nobody was ever able to verify without being eaten, though the stench would suggest moss and algae growing in its fur. Swamp Trolls are ravenous, always hungry and not fussy with their food.

Though mainly nocturnal, they are bothered by sunlight, though not really hurt, and they avoid it by submerging in their murky lairs. They are excellent swimmers, though they rarely find water deep enough for them to completely submerge.

If it was not enough, the scariest part about them is a freak healing factor, able to regenerate entire limbs in a matter of hours. It's speculated their hunger is due to this extreme trait, that consumes crazy amounts of energy. The only things able to permanently hurt a swamp troll are fire, acid, or extreme cold.

Note: people speculate that swamp trolls reproduce at least partially asexually through fragmentation, growing new individuals from severed limbs. No one was able to confirm this, as nobody ever saw infant trolls, and nobody ever secured a lost troll limb, for two main reasons: one, it's difficult to hack off a limb and survive, and two, when that happens the troll flees with the thing to eat it.
