A nice addition to an already killer PC.

actually now it has windows 7 pro... Dreamspark is good that way, but even so... Linux is better.

I agree, but in an majority Windows world, the lightweight operating system kernel self finds itself struggling to keep up with Samba, LDAP, and many other things. lol. Will Linux ever catch on like it's supposed to?

Here's mine: [link]

I am currently saving up for a new Nvidia card at the moment, and I recently got a 1 TB hard drive; it was the same as before :/

you should get an SSD and make that the boot, that's why I have such an impressive score on the WEI

Hehe currently my WIE are all 7.9 except the processor (Core i5 3570K, only 7.7). Thanks for the amazing 4x4Gb Patriot Viper, GTX 680, and OCZ Vector SSD.

Just curious, why you choose HD7950 instead of GTX 670? I think GTX 670 is better than HD7950 at same price range.

the 670 is the same price as the 7970 here, so between those two, I would've went 7970. Though looking at an article on the net (comment if you want it), the 7950 can outperform a 680 under linux, so I saved some money.

Oh I see. In my country, 670 is the middle of hd7950 and hd7970 and many reviews said that 670 is the best VGA nowadays for performance/price ratio.
(while, hd7950 had fairly poor review at my country).

Aha, can I see that link? I have no knowledge about VGA performance at Linux or MacOS.

Sure, here: [link]

the article link within the article also gives some benchmarks between the two, 7950 is either really close or ahead.

Either way, It was a big improvement over the 6850

Nice specs man!! O3O
I like how you have multiple hard drive to compensate for different platforms. I was thinking about do that myself but I haven't really used Linux all that much. lol
Maybe with my next build I will try it, idk yet.
