My submission for and their Female Ghosts,Vampires And Zombies contest.

I've done female vampire,albeit a cartoonish one,and I may do a female zombie someday,but I decided for this piece to do a ghost.

Admittedly,this is a bit macabre;my initial ideas involved a nude female ghost in a cemetery,but I really couldn't get excited about that. Immediately,I got the idea of someone dying unexpectedly and becoming a ghost,but I know I didn't get the notion of being naked in the afterlife from TV or the movies,at least any movie I've seen. I think I may have actually seen it in some religious cartoon pamphlet I had years ago,the title of which may have been This Was Your Life.
But how to kill the main character? I found myself not really wanting to spend a lot of thought on that,so I just went for victim-of-a-street-crime.
I used Picasa to give the ghost a slightly ethereal look....I'm glad how that turned out.
