Description For those of you out there who remember Halloween in the 1970s...before the Halloween stores filled with styrofoam tombstones and relatively cheap animatronics...there were the paper decorations your parents got at Walgreen's and K-Mart,which you taped up in your windows. Did you ever wonder where they cameΒ from?

Also,a tribute to Gold Key comics!

Yeah, I like paper decorations. Even though I was born 1995 I know styrofoam, paint, and newspapers existed at the time for people with suburban sized garages and a amble amount of free time with their kids with a disposable income.

I'm trying to remember when Halloween stores began appearing...possibly in the early 90's? Back in the 70's,paper Halloween decorations were found at most general merchandise places. While seasonal haunted houses and Halloween celebrations for adults did exist back then, they weren't near as prevalent as they are today.

I loved those 70's Halloween decorations! When I was a kid I had a wall full of them. Just the thing for a kid to be staring at, all illuminated in the moonlight as he tried to sleep!

And those Gold Key 'supernatural' comics were wonderful.
