Probably not...doing a completely original quartet,I discovered just how difficult it can be.
Coming up with macabre-but-funny scenarios,that's the easy part.The trick is making them fit into that "format";remember,the top-third of the picture has to look like a typical 19th-century formal portrait,with absolutely no hint of what's below.I said it before,I'll say it again...Marc Davis really was a genius.

Funny you should mention childhood memories---I was 12 when I first visited the Mansion;when I would describe the stretch paintings to others,I mistakenly described the young girl with the parasol as being barefoot on barbed wire---hence,my revision.
