Man, I can almost imagine what Vanessa is saying to Eric and Ariel upon revealing her survival:
Vanessa: "For a moment I felt death's chill wind from impalement. Such is the might of the trident. But then, I remembered I'm immortal. Such is my blessing and curse. Your attack hurt me, nevertheless… My feelings, at least."
And yes, I know I'm having her basically paraphrase Ardyn Izunia from Final Fantasy XV regarding a similar reveal of his survival. Seemed almost fitting there.
