Description Any living creature who has seen a black hole, has never lived to tell about it...

___________________________________

The last piece in my series of space images. I will now be going more into my old stuff for now.

I decided to do something original and never done before: a black hole. Hopefully this has never been done before, because I've looked through all of Greg and Gary's work and not one of them protrayed a black hole.

Brightness = 60-65 for pefection.

This is how I portray a black hole.

Holy cow, that's amazingly cool.

My only gripe is the asteroids, they stand out too much. Maybe if the were radially blurred towards the black hole? Or maybe if you just softened their edges a teensy bit. Whatever... it's still awesome!

well, as a fan of the 'science' in 'science fiction', I must say, looks absolutely unrealistic: huge solid planets could never get so near to a black hole without either getting pulverised or transformed to pure energy or accelerated faster than light ('we' are still not really sure about this), but anyway it looks f***in cool man, screw the realism
I made a black hole pic/wp called 'Moloch' few days ago (and posted it on Deviantart on oct. 30, too - hope no one thinks this is surreptitious ad, cause it is ) which is also 'not so' realistic... well, actually, no one knows exactly what kind of effects a really big singularity can cause... but I'm getting gabby, back to your pic: the only bad thing I could say: you should lower the planet count before it gets boring

anyway, +fav, +watch

do i sense jealousy from vio?

anywho this is a very unique piece it does have flaws but most pieces are often beautiful because of the flaws [heard that in a movie ] its original which is good cause i swear if i saw a planet i wouldve shot myself. anywho looks like your next step is DD egh?

Nice comets, and airbrushing. The plants look ok, but something about the asteroids that doesn't quite click. Other than that it looks great.

agon [2002-10-31 20:01:56 +0000 UTC]

nice but layers are not right.... like the 2 bigger planets seem to be behind the black hole, and a planets atmoshpere wouild never look so "normal" as it does on the 2 planets that do show clouds and stuff. and the convergence doesn't "feel" right either.
but it is not bad, I much prefer other works from you.

i see that you've become an amazing artist. this is pretty much flawless, and extremely pleasing to suck at. i like the lights and the motion effects you've created. not to mention the great colors contrast. i don't have to play with the brightness to see how incredible this is. gj.
