Description
Baddies: [link]One day me and my brother ( ) decided to make a set of Rayman 1 characters in Microsoft Powerpoint inn a pose-able form so that they can be easily posed and edited for use in fan artwork and comics. Here are the results so far. My brother started off with Rayman himself, and I chipped in and added other characters to turn it into a set.
Most of the characters here should be familiar to you, but just in case you may not know - the Raygirl you see here is not a fan character but Rayman's scrapped sidekick from the early SNES version of the game, the exclamation mark on her clothes was a little bit of artistic license
Any characters with a * sign next to them are drawn by my brother, the rest are by me.
Enjoy and let me know what you think

Ahh! So thats where the word "Raygirl" came from XD
Sorry.. I havent played the first game yet Its a shame that Raygirl was never used D: It would have been cool for Rayman to have a sister :3

I kinda feel sorry for Raygirl... She was supposted to have adventures with her brother and she didn't appeared in ANY Rayman game, not even a cameo.

Yeah, it's kind of a shame. I've always felt the same thing about Megaman's sister, Roll, after I discovered that she was meant to have a sidekick COOP role (heh, Roll's role) in MM2, and then Capcom said no to the developers . Pretty much the same thing, although unlike poor Raygirl, she most definitely has appeared in the games
.
Speaking of Raygirl cameos, I've always thought that the bomber clowns in Candy Chateau have a resemblance to her (most notably the same blond plait) - so I guess that counts as a cameo of sorts

Hmm... i didn't know the Roll was supposted to be playable in MM2. And speaking of coop, it's possible that they wanted to give it a try again with Mega man arcade games, some of unused graphics could be used for full stages. But they scrapped the ideas with stages and leave the game with just fighting with robot masters. Pretty lame, Capcom.
Yeah, if ! mark would be there, they i would believe that. Also, i wonder if her data is still there in final release.

I'm pretty sure it's an exclamation mark too, since the other scrapped character (who later became Cookie from the animated series *mind-blown*) also had a random character on his torso. I doubt Raygirl's data is in the final game, since when they decided to make Rayman 32 bit, they literally started again from scratch, re-doing everything including the sprites. This was probably when they decided to replace Raygirl with Cookie before scrapping the COOP thing MM2 style

Yeah, but i have some hope that possibly COOP mode could be scrapped while making the final game.

It is slightly plausible, considering there seems to be another design for a potential player 2 in the 32 bit style of the final game ("Fudge"), although there is no proof that coding begun for this feature. Still, we still have Origins when it comes to Rayman COOP...
Speaking of Raygirl, I ended up making this last night : [link]

Heh, sorry about that . Despite the fact that I only got around to uploading this last year, I actually completed the goodies compilation picture some time at the very end of 2009, before I started my English with Rayman play through. Hence I didn't actually know about Andrew at the time...

it's okay. Maybe when you do another drawing of the group next time, you can be sure to add him (Andrew) in too.

Double lazy copy paste post from previous comment just further above the page!:
"Yeah I know Baby Mosquito was reffered to as Bzzit in Rayman Revolution but I don't really count it as Rayman 1 continuity as it was never mentioned in the first game and the mosquito called Bzzit in RR is smaller and has different legs. I called him Mozzy here as it was kind of a nickname that me and my brother adopted for him "

Read the description
But no, seriously, when Rayman 1 was in early development for the SNES (before they decided to use more powerful consoles instead), early screenshots show that the game was going to have coop play with Rayman having a sidekick who is the Raygirl you see here. She was scrapped along with the SNES game, although the Bomber Clowns in the final share her plait.
