Oh my gosh this piece is so stunning! Your lighting and shadows are beautiful and your painting style is so nice to look at! It's stylized in such a lovely way! There's really not a lot that I can say about this honestly without starting to repeat myself about how lovely this is. The very few suggestions I have are very much personal preference and minor nitpicks. OTL
I love the detail of the scales on the little merperson~ And his ears are so cute and unique! (I like giving merpeople the sort of fin-type ears c: even though thinking about it they don't actually make a lot of sense lol) The purple on his tail really stands out to me, almost too much. I see hints of purple in some other places but not really enough to offset how hard it is there. It feel like the focus of the piece is supposed to be their faces, and his hair color is enough of a "new" color to draw the eyes there but then it gets muddied a bit with the purple color also being so strong. It makes me notice also that the shape of her hand looks a bit strange. It took a while to figure it out but I tried making the pose with my own hand and I think the placement of her thumb might be a bit off? Or maybe how the thumb connects to the rest of the hand. I could be completely wrong, honestly, since I really can't quite figure it out. But it might also be something to consider.
I also love her hair! The colors are so nice and the detail of the chunks and the strands is so well done. I really love this piece as a whole~! The lighting is so warm and nice~

Honestly I didn't even notice the purple in his tail until you pointed it out ... I guess it is a bit too... purple XD that brightness is probably caused
by the glow effect on the piece. And tell me about those hands! I had to redraw them like twice before getting it this good! In then I just decided it
shall be good enough - the oddness is probably the base of the thumb lacking shadow now that I look at it...

I love this! The colors are all warm and happy and it's giving me mer-feels. Little goldfish mer is too cute and so happy! I have he's got a bigger tank at home. LOL

Aw, so he's more like an ocean friend than a pet. The ocean is so dangerous for a fish that size. He is probably a reef fishy. And the tiny fish bowl is just his ride when he wants to be mobile out of the water.

- and ah you read me so well, the little fish live on a reef and mostly stay there for safety, hence humans have rarely seen them
but Rody got dragged out into an adventure by his friend.
