When I was on my way out of Home Depot the other day, this really insistent man kept badgering me for my phone number. And I just kept thinking, "Why Home Depot? Why, of all the places in the world, are you trying to pick up chicks at Home Depot, Creepy Too-Old-To-Be-Hitting-On-Me Guy?" He absolutely would not go away, and only kept attempting to block my way when I turned to leave. Usually I am easygoing to wild extremes, but when you finally cross that line, expect a swift, stern response.Related content

home depot is dangerous, there are so many corners and hidey holes you have to be careful not to get cornered in. I never go there by myself.

a similar thing happened to my mom about a year or so ago, she was at the gym, and this really hairy, middle-aged European guy just comes up to her and says, "I knew here to America, but I man, you voman, what you say we get to know each other?"
I mean it, he looked like an out-of-shape strongman (big curly mustache, uber hairy chest/armpits, kinda thin, kinda flabby) though I wasn't there, I crack up every time i hear that story. oh yeah, he didn't have a shirt

Sometimes you do have to hit them with a sledge before they take the hint.
and sometimes, after you try polite, just be direct.
Saying "No, I'm not interested" directly can sometimes do it where the polite hinting is too vague for them to understand.

Christ, I work at a pet store, and this happens /way/ often than it should. I'm not a particularly attractive person, but I do look like I'm under 18. Old men, /with kids/ will ask to go out, or ask for my number, and some are /way/ to incessant.
I was never very good at the stern response, so I just started carrying a box cutter with me. : D! Awesome comic.

Simply yelling "NO" at the guy and giving him the evil eye until he stopped following me was all I needed to do then. Apparently you have to be forceful with someone who is so intentionally oblivious.

I have those moments myself and those situations really creep me out. Makes me wish I could have Ahk around to get the point across
