ZAURUS THE ZETI

Zaurus is a creature that, in Sonic's dimension, is known as a Zeti - powerful creatures akin to demons or ogres that live on a physics-defying satellite called the Lost Hex. Where Zeti on planet Eden originate from is a mystery, as is much of Zaurus' origin - as far as anyone can remember he's just always been by Mio's side. She claims to have found him in the shrine as a child shortly after arriving there and deciding to stay, then he swore fealty to her and has acted as a trusted friend, bodyguard and all-around caretaker throughout the years.

Fubuki's attempts to stop Plasmagic Siphon: Howling are thwarted by the fact that the machine is being controlled externally by Zaurus using his innate magnokinetic abilities provided by his Zeti physiology, his capable combat senses allow him to repel her offensive even while operating such large machinery. Blaze arrives on the scene just in time to save Fubuki any further beatings and dispatches Howling, only for Zaurus to intake huge amount of Plasmagic energy from its systems to transform and do battle with Blaze directly.

- Zaurus' bird-like features are curious among Zeti, though we know very little about their kind to begin with, so whether they are a result of mutation, divergent evolution or anything else is a mystery.

- Mio claims he gives extraordinary hugs, though Zaurus is not receptive to any requests for physical contact nor attempts to hug him by force. Maybe he's shy?
