Description More clouds, this time from an extremely powerful storm front that came through this afternoon [and which was eventually responsible for a long power outage].

I love storms like this - the feel of energy and power in the sky is awesome.

Thanks for the compliment. Sorry to hear about your lost photo, but at least you have a good excuse to go back to Italy.

Thanks. Approaching storms are great for feeling the tension in the air, and for photography.

the justbelowthesurface power in the cloud.. the beauty of the power's play of light, contrasts, fluid shapings, abrupt edges.
The thought of all THAT focusing its energy to a point makes my eyes water in anticipation.

great work.

Heh, I didn't think my photo could elicit such a response in a viewer. But that probably means I've done something right

There really isn’t much to critique about this shot. The contrasting light and textures of the clouds are awesome. You can feel the power of the cloud and the storm about to hit. This looks great without any grain, but I wonder if some intentional graininess would add to the sort of raw feeling. Awesome capture.
