Description Dark Elf Dread lord, minimal conversion of the sheild arm and weapon (didnt like the axe with the original model).

I painted it in a semi-traditional colour scheme but with a bit of a twist....

Excellent work. The weapon swap looks much better than his original weapon.

Nice job. Your deep reds and blues contrast well with the metallics and the pallid flesh you used on the head really gives this model a haunting and sinister look. I also agree with the conversion, an axe isn't really a proper armament for a Dark Elf, and the sword fits him so much better.

Man, your pictures remind me why I love Games Workshop miniatures. They just have so many possibilities, and I love how customisable they are, and they way you can paint them any way you want.

Also, while finishing them may be enough for some, they also have a use after they have been made up, as they can be used in a really detailed battle game. Its a really great hobby.
