Well you better read the patch notes. There might be some hidden bugs. And you will need to update the tutorial.

What about the minimum graphic requirement in case some of us don't want to overheat our OS/PC?
Also how is high quality .tga compared to .jpeg?
Edit: I have tested two different files and there is no difference
π: 0 β©: 1
d0ntst0pme In reply to fusionguybrony [2015-07-28 15:29:46 +0000 UTC]
.jpeg compression leads to more artifacts in the picture, than .tga compression.
I discourage the use of .jpeg's if you can help it.
Also, if your PC gets too hot, you might want to think about getting a better fan in there.

Read the tutorial. You need to convert into a .png before you can upload it.

Thank you so much for the info as to how I would pose with the eyes, ears, ect. I always wondered how everyone else always did it. I am wondering though, how do you activate the console so I can darken my now overly bright model?
π: 0 β©: 2
d0ntst0pme In reply to Followershy [2015-04-15 00:01:39 +0000 UTC]
There should be a key for the Developer Console when you check your controls. Alternatively, right-click Garrysmod in your Steam library, go to "Properties" and "Set Launch Options..."
There you just need to type -console and hit "OK". Now he console will open every time you start Garrysmod.

From garrysmod.org
But that site is no longer, so your best bet is looking some on the workshop.
The pack was called "RnL Foliage pack".

2 questions:
1. Your lamps seem invisible on the final pic, how did you do?
2. Does it require a special add on to have the zooming option on the camera, because i didn't find it.... yet
Thank you in advance
π: 0 β©: 1
d0ntst0pme In reply to OlorilTarmikos [2014-11-06 18:06:00 +0000 UTC]
1. Use the color tool and pull the opacity slider down to nothing. That will make stuff invisible. It will still discolor your lamps after turning them on and off, if you set a color with it, so be careful. Go with white to stay on the safe side.
2. No, it works without any addons whatsoever.

d0ntst0pme In reply to Captain-Gatlocke [2014-06-12 09:53:51 +0000 UTC]
There are probably smarter ways to go about this, but I used math.
I made a new file in gimp with the resolution 3300x24840 (44x my screen resolution and then some)
Then I just arranged the screenshots under each other and added some text.

pretty good. will you be making a tutorial for manipulating this sort of image in an image editor to achieve some additional feats of quality?
i've been considering returning to making pony poses, since my older stuff was pretty popular, and i'd love to make some sort of tutorial for touchups after the initial gmod render!

My PP usually consists of smoothing some rough shadows and maybe a magic effect or two. And for the latter there already is a tut fav.me/d7buzxf .
I don't think I'll bust out a tutorial for making effects, since I am just an amateur at using gimp.
But please do make a tutorial for effects and such.
Your magic effects always looked pretty nifty fav.me/d46ccjh

Higher than your screen is? Well, you can try downsampling, but that didn't turn out too well for me...

Can I ask you a question about the advanced lamp tool? I can't figure out the different types of flashlight textures I can use and was wondering if you know of a list of which texture is what? Like was is effects/flashlight001,002,003,ect?
π: 0 β©: 1
d0ntst0pme In reply to drgamer7065 [2014-02-08 15:34:55 +0000 UTC]
I usually just use the stock one with hard edges. There is a whole list of the textures for the lamp when selecting your lamp settings. When you hover over each one you get its name shown.

Try to download it, instead of enlarging it. It's a pretty big image, so it's understandable that some browsers crash, or people with slow internet connections can't view it in their browsers.

Right click on the download button and then select "Save target" or whatever it is in english. That way you can download the image without opening it in your browser first.
