Doesn't always work that way. ttt_gunkanjima (or how the fuck you pronounce that) is a prime example of totally fucked up lighting. Also, the day/night cycle on rp_apocalypse is a bitch like that.

It seems Gimp does not recognize .tga files for me, are there mods to fix this?

That's weird. I don't rightly know. It has always worked for me.

Vulsegardt In reply to d0ntst0pme [2013-09-10 16:04:56 +0000 UTC]

Ah, I think I found it, it would not recognize it when right clicked but then I attempted dragging the file onto gimp and it worked fine.
Thanks for replying.

This isn't just GModding. This is advanced GModding. The title obviously isn't "Tutorial: Scenebuilding".

hey there, sorry to bother you again, but this should only take a sec. How does one get better quality on the picture itself. (from game onto computer). I save as Jpeg, but I feel like there is something else that can be done.

I'm not sure if I should just troll you by saying that I can go with higher graphic settings than you did (I actually can), or go by saying "I still suck, though".

You do realize not everyone has a NASA own PC, right?

d0ntst0pme In reply to ozpakko [2013-09-10 15:27:06 +0000 UTC]

You may notice that even I went above the recommended settings in the first panel. I don't have a NASA pc either.

ozpakko In reply to d0ntst0pme [2013-09-10 18:51:01 +0000 UTC]

Even I have my settings higher than recommended ones.

And I can't go higher.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

d0ntst0pme In reply to ozpakko [2013-09-10 18:52:50 +0000 UTC]

Just higher than recommended, or at the maximum?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ozpakko In reply to d0ntst0pme [2013-09-10 18:55:03 +0000 UTC]

Higher than recommended.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

d0ntst0pme In reply to ozpakko [2013-09-10 18:57:28 +0000 UTC]

Max that shit out. And don't use more lamps than necessary. More dynamic lights mean more strain for the cpu.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ozpakko In reply to d0ntst0pme [2013-09-10 18:59:09 +0000 UTC]

As I said before, if I do, my game freezes than crashes.

My ATI Radeon 4670 HD has only 256 MB of VRAM, so no. I can not "max that shit out".

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

d0ntst0pme In reply to ozpakko [2013-09-10 19:01:22 +0000 UTC]

Then at least max out the AA. That's pretty much the most important part.
