Description
This ship is designed for more long term aquatic missions (compared to it's shuttle equivalent) and is also assigned to aquatic planets and moons. Like the standard runabout this ship is modular, but is designed so that the modules are beamed in, to maximise hull structural integrity. It features a moonpool airlock on the underside (as seen above), a specially reinforced hull and is both designed to operate like a submarine and to be completely filled with water for aquatic species. It also has special diving/space suits and SCUBA as standard equipment. For defence it has a standard shields and special ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) Phasers, designed to work underwater, though only at limited range.
