Description
Revenant Class: Advanced experimental escort. Built purely as a proof of concept, to answer the question can the Federation build a dedicated warship, putting together all their most advanced weapons technologies.

Equipped with dense ablative armour, 17 phasers (A couple had a high power phaser cannon fitted) and 5 (3 fore, 2 aft) torpedo launchers. It is also equipped with a "ghost mode" phase system which makes the ship virtually impossible to target or even hit (most weapons pass though the ship like it's not even there), without actually cloaking it, making the ship like a ghost. In "ghost mode" it can only fire torpedoes, using a de-phase modulator in the torpedo tube (phasers are useless in "ghost mode").

These were never put into full production and only a handful were built. They ended up being assigned to protect a few key installations. After construction, their plans were deleted from all databases.
