Description
This design was inspired by "The Last Starfighter" movie.

After the Dominion war this design was put forward as a new defensive fighter. This fighter used a quantum core to enable quantum slipstream instead of conventional warp allowing the fighter to respond to situations quickly and of great distance away. One was formidable on it's own with 12 phaser arrays (providing 360 field of fire) 4 micro torpedo launchers (2 fore, 2 aft) and 2 phaser cannons, however it was designed to operate in a squadron of 6 or more. Using the latest bio-neural circuitry it could be operated entirely by computer control (similar to Holo-Drones) as well as by remote keeping the pilots a safe distance away. Or these systems could be used in tandem with one or two master fighters and the computer controlled ones providing cover fire and acting as decoys.

Trivia: Due to the proximity of the phaser canons to the cockpit the windows are fitted with a flare shield to protect the pilot when firing.
