This is the best bee macro I have ever seen! The textures are amazing, you can see every little detail from the bee.. The light that reflects on her wings and eyes and part of the body makes this shot even more amazing! And what can I say of the scenary?? IS JUST AMAZING! This shot most be really hard to get, you can even see all the honey

the pattern of the honeycomb combines with the depth of field and subject exquisitely. Bravo
I think both of you did well out of the arrangement. Free photographic services are uncommon, as are free quality models.

I know you're really into these macro shots, but it would also be cool to see a larger expanse of the hive to get a bit more perspective on just how close in these macro shots are. So a shot like this one followed by one which is pulled back a bit more - showing a larger expanse of the comb. I think it would add a bit to the appreciation of the macro capture.
Does that make sense?

Actually it makes a lot of sense! I'll put the 100mm macro on the lens next time -sounds like a cool idea for a collage

So warm and chic. Reminds of long winter evenings, with candles lit and steaming tea and golden honey... Don't know why
